Ourimbah Thai — Restaurant in New South Wales

My partner and I visited this restaurant tonight, after reading the reviews we thought this place sounds great! Well... we were surely wrong, this place did not live upto expectations. The service was mixed, the original server could not tell us what was in certain dishes when asked. My partner asked about what seafood was in a particular dish, the response was “seafood”. She had trouble understanding us and our questions although basic. I ordered black tea that I later found out after receiving all the courses they did not have, I had to ask about this before I was told they don’t have it. My partners pork was not crispy and the sauce was quite disgusting. My crispy chicken was average but the sauce was a disappointment. The highlight of the meal was the satay skewers and coconut rice, but sadly the best thing we had was the Coca colas. Would not recommend, better off spending...

Blown away!

We come from an area where we get very good quality Thai food so was hesitant to try a Thai place on our trip away to the central coast.

First dish was prawn pad Thai. The serving was massive and the prawns were fresh and huge! And they don't skimp on them either!

Green curry was also a big serving, delicious and the veggies were super fresh.

The Tom yum soup was just divine, especially on this cold night. There was a great selection of fresh seafood in the broth and for the price, it hit the right spot both in our bellies and our wallet. My wife even picked at the bit leftover in the mussel and she commented how fresh it was!

Finally, the service was infallible. Every single one of their staff who we interacted with were all warm, smiley, professional and just seemed like really good genuine people.

Being a grumpy old man, I rarely give out 5's but this might be the best Thai I've had outside of Asia. We ordered four dishes and every one of them was generously sized and cooked to perfection. And this was a delivery - we'll definitely try dining in sometime soon to try it straight from the kitchen. The pad-see-ewe was the best I've had. Order dinner and enough for lunch the next day is my recommendation. Looking forward to trying the rest...
