I had no idea there was a an Escape Room here!!! Love, love, loved it! It was actually challenging for us 2 adults. Our young friendly game master on the day was fantastic and helped us along the way thank goodness... we might still be in there lol. Definitely worth visiting. 👌 The staff were amazing and greated us warmly immediately upon entering and gave us both free entry to the museum when we wish to use them bedore we left. Everyone is so friendly and went above and beyond to make out visit memorable (remember most staff here are volunteers). The Queenscliff Maritime Museum are looking for more volunteers to join the fun, interation and to share the history of Geelong so if your interested, drop them a line. We will be back... thank you so much for your warm hospitality. E & C L

We visited the museum and escape room. The museum was informative, well set out and fun for our young child. She loved trying on the diving helmets and exploring the sand tray filled with shells and dried sealife. John took us through a pilot boat and we got to go down into the engine room. He told us all about the boats and he was an absolute pleasure to listen too. We spent over an hour in the museum and will definitely visit again in the future. We also did the escape room which was excellent. The host Avi, was helpful when we got stuck, gave us great clues with giving us answers and made it really enjoyable. Probably took us a bit longer than an hour, but we loved every minute of it. Hopefully they add other escape rooms for our next visit.

Queenscliff Maritime Museum - A Hidden Gem! We visited today with the kids and it absolutely exceeded my expectations. The museum is small but packed with interesting exhibits that taught us a lot about the local maritime history. The staff were friendly, passionate, and clearly dedicated — they took time to chat and share stories, which added so much to the experience. The kids were entertained with interactive displays and activities, which gave us a nice moment to enjoy the exhibits ourselves. It’s a great way to spend an hour or two, especially on a windy day when outdoor options are limited. Highly recommend stopping by if you’re in the area!

A fascinating place with lots of very well displayed and labelled exhibits in a clean spacious place. A retired life saving boat occupied the central place - it was also what got the museum started. There were boats in glass bottles, diving equipment, salvaged wreck artifacts as well as three old buildings one of which was the first Marconi wireless communication set up between Melbourne and Tasmania. You could easily spend an hour here. Two volunteers were on hand to give a briefing and explain the key exhibits and the main sections and categories of the museum. An impressive and well maintained set of lighthouse glass prisms which you can stand inside was one of my highlights. There's a diving head gear you can...
