Wharf Street Pantry — Restaurant in Queenscliff

Two of us wanted a quiet Monday lunch. My friend was celebrating his birthday. I ordered the scallop pie. It was so delicious that I ordered another. Scallops very fresh, juicy and large. My friend ordered a pork toasted panini. Also a winner. We each had chocolate mousse for dessert which was eaten while our generous waiter sang Happy Birthday. Very nice of him. The coffee was good. One thing I especially enjoyed was the play list. A good play list really adds to the occasion and we enjoyed some reggae (Bob Marley), some retro Beatles and other standards very much. Great location with great food. It's such a shame the guy that served us today at lunch was extremely rude. I did wish we had chosen one of the other lovely spots rather than provide business to a cafe where they obviously didn't care about being a civil human being to their customers. However we did choose to buy additional drinks at another location as we didn't want to inconvenience and be served again by the rude gentleman. It takes no effort to be kind and decent. It may even make for a nicer day...

On the day we were there 90 percent of the orders were hot drinks. The barista was flat out and our drinks took too long to come out.
