Old Gaol - 1961
Commissioned in 1859 and opened in 1861, the complex included a substantial stone building with four holding cells, a receiving yard and a Keeper's residence.
With Robe in decline, the gaol closed permanently in 1881, and the last prisoner was transferred to Mount Gambier. The building gradually fell into disrepair and most of it was eventually demolished and used as road rubble.
