Great donation RV stop with excellent facilities. As mentioned, the road noise is considerable, it is right on the A3 after all. It wasn’t too much of an issue for us as we were closed-up as it was freezing at night, it does ease at night, but it never fully stops. There are some lovely walks out of the back of the park towards the Rail Trail including a lovely short boardwalk. Unfortunately we didn’t see any Platipus but the ducks are there in force - unfortunately some people feeding them when there is ample for them naturally. It’s about a 10-15 minute walk back up the hill into the shopping street, with some gorgeous views as you near the main road. Read moreThe park itself is a nice grassed area. There's hot showers for $3 and toilets, which were very clean. The downside is that you are packed in like sardines. It was very cramped and worse than a caravan park. Caravaners use the centre as a drive-through, leaving their vans hitched and taking up space for another van. Lots of wizbangs are coming in all hours of the night and parking in the day use area and near the bbq shelter, which is clearly marked no camping and then deciding it's ok to get the guitar out and have a singalong half the night or talking loudly into the small hours the the night. It was perfect for us to stay the night in our camper van, it’s a donation based Lions Club Park, so no having to book in at reception and pay a large fee for an unpowered site, you just chuck how ever much money you want into the donation box and you can have a long hot shower for 3 $1 coins which goes towards helping the Lions Club projects as well. There’s also wonderful walks around the place and interesting history and we had 3 beautiful big friendly ducks come over to say hello every now and then, they just wander around the campsite saying hello to...
