Ella, Jackson and Jackson were all very lovely staff members which made the experience even for more exciting than it already was just being able to see these creatures in real life. Ella was really welcoming and friendly and helped book our trip for the the marine cruise where we got to watch sea lions, auspreys pelicans and other birds in their habitats. Jackson and Jackson were were both very knowledgeable about the marine life surrounding us and were keen to answer any questions we had. Although we didn’t get to see any dolphins they tried there best to look for them but as they are wild animals it was hard to gauge when they would come. The highlight was seeing a sea lion up close. We were not allowed to pass the buoys on the island as it ensured the animals were at peace but we were lucky to have a sea lion swim near us. It was awesome to see individuals passionate about keeping our ecosystem and animals safe. Overall it was one of the favourite activities we had done in WA and I highly recommend to everyone who hasn’t...

Dont expect to see wild penguins, because you wont. They board off anywhere they may be so people cant possibly see them. Its an EXTREAMLY expensive 5 minute ferry ride to see 10 captive penguins. Cost my self and 2 young children $80. We should have just went to the zoo for much cheaper and seen penguins and heaps of other animals. The beach there was ok for small children. Wouldnt recommend this for anyone really. But i take comfort in knowing that my hard earned $80 went to people protecting the pengins. I would never go again.

If you have your own boat, that would be better. At least you can see around the...

A beautiful piece of paradise that is good to come to for a relaxing day. Make sure you bring your own food and definitely bring your own shade, either an umbrella, or shade tent. Not much to see. I would not recommend the penguin show, a bit pricey for what you get. You really do not see many wild penguins around the island. Its more gulls and other birds. But awesome if you're into swimming and generally relaxing. The water is shallow and great for younger kids. The ferry trip is very quick and water is very clean. Nothing to buy over there, so you'll save that way. Very good for a day out and I think it is...

This area is simply beauitful. So many birds.... like horror movie number of birds. The only downside is the people that dont seem to understand its a conservation area. They bring their rubbish, and their music and drown out the natural beauty with their drama. The other issue is small cars taking up trailer bays in the parking area. Its very hard to park with your trailer and kayaks because people are pretty inconsiderate with the way they park. As always, its the people that ruin a good thing.

Just south of Rockingham and easily accessible from Perth, this Marine Park is an undiscovered gem. Catch a ferry across to Penguin Island then do the 45 min boat cruise past Seal Island and 3 other islands that are sanctuaries with the Marine Park. really worth it. We saw Ospreys nesting, seals, sea lions, pelicans and a host of sea birds, and had a knowledgeable guide. Water is crystal clear and the glass bottom boat allows viewing of the sea grasses and the odd school of fish.

We were blessed to take our granddaughter to the beach and we were surprised to see a mom and baby dolphin cavorting in the grass line just meters from shore. Mom was catching what looked like King George whiting and tossing it in the air and providing baby with an easy feed. We stood mesmerised for 45 minutes or so and came away with a special experience in God's creation.
