Big Swamp Parkland — Attraction in South Bunbury

If you want to check out the wildlife, this is the place to visit. It's free to the public. There is a walkway, you can see ducks, turtles etc.... This is great for kids, please make them aware of possible dangers. It seems a little spooky but it's worth a walk around. Just be careful of snakes, there maybe a few lurking around, just keep your distance of them & should be ok. You can walk all the way around the Big Swamp Parkland, just drive slowly & please don't run over turtles, sometimes you might find them on the road. In a heart of a city you will find pure peace. A place to sit and watch wildlife go about their day. Or get you fit on and go walking jogging or bike rideing around this natual big swamp on its fully paved paths and board walks through paper bark trees and reeds. With look out points and bench seats for rest and relaxation while admiring this wonderful place. For kids there is a large park oppersite and beside that is bunburys wildlife park. This was one of the best places I have visited over here. I did nearly walk past it. It is signposted but the boardwalk where I went in was very understated and nothing tells you what an amazing site you are going find when you get into the middle. The boardwalk zigzags through the swamp leading you to the most wonderful nature reserve where you will find a variety of birds and flowers. Even managed to see a duckbilled platypus. In the middle, there is even a hide which you can look for and photograph the wildlife without being seen. Well...
