Malabar Beach — Attraction in Sydney

This small beach is a hidden gem! It's calm and quiet, with hardly any waves, making it perfect for a peaceful day out. The beach is equipped with a playground and clean restrooms, adding to the convenience. One of the best features is the mobility mat that provides easy access to the sand for wheelchairs, strollers, and anyone who needs it. It's a great place for kids to play all day and for families to relax. Just remember to bring some beach shoes, as the sand can be a bit rough with shells and pebbles. 🚶‍♀️Meets up with the Malabar Headland Walk, but take note of opening times. This access point is closed when the rifle range is operational (like the Saturday we visited). Details on National Park website.

Nice little beach with a lifeguard tower and a playground. The almost non-existent waves gently lap the shoreline - great for little children.

Watch out for the shell sand, loose rocks, rocky reef and a random brick - they can hurt if stepped on with bare feet.

Also, watch out for the sand on a hot day - it can literally burn the soles of your feet, even getting into your thongs while walking. Best to wear a pair of old runners when arriving and leaving.
