Krazy Chix — Restaurant in Sydney

Not sure why this is so highly rated. After our swim at Little Bay, we Googled fish and chip places nearby. This wasn’t the closest option, but it had the best rating. Why? We’re not sure. The menu was very affordable and had a great variety. Although fish and chips weren’t the main menu item, it focused mainly on burgers and roast chicken.

Having already committed to the restaurant, we ordered anyway. It was a hot summer’s day, so we noticed a lot of flies in and around the fridges, which wasn’t a great sign. The guys were friendly and chatty but really should be more mindful of the situation at hand.

The fish itself was pre-battered and fried, which isn’t my preference, but I understand that if they get busy, it helps with speedy service. We asked twice for extra chicken salt, and they even acknowledged it when handing it over, but alas, no seasoning whatsoever. Bland chips!

We also opted to try a burger since it was so heavily focused on the menu, and it was terrible. The meat had a reheated smell, and the texture was rubbery. The bun wasn’t fresh. We didn’t even bother—one bite was enough.

I have experienced language discrimination from their employees today. I ordered a grilled fish and chips. They gave me 3 boxes fish and chips. When I told them that I ordered only one grilled fish and chips. He accused me "You said three fish and chips not grilled fish and chips". One of the employees aggressively said that my English was not good and said it was my fault, lectured me on how to pronounce grilled&three and humiliated me in front of others. I love everything about this place from the warm welcome upon entering to the deliciously fresh food! I frequent Krazy Chix a few times a month (work purposes) and I highly recommend it. They have all options available…a chicken shop with vegetarian, GF, and even vegan options at a very reasonable price!
