Been coming here for years and unfortunately will no longer be returning after the events of today. I guess I'll have to retract all the praise I've published about the meat markets. I bought a 5kg beef brisket only to find that there was an extremely large 12 inch gash in the middle of the piece of meat, rendering the meat unusable. Spoke to Scott on the phone who was extremely courteous and offered to replace if I came back with the docket. Upon returning, I was unable to speak with Scott and the elderly lady I dealt with was nothing but rude when she realised I was making a complaint about a purchase - rolling her eyes, speaking to me in a very condescending tone and kicking up a fuss that I didn't bring back the piece of brisket (I would have if they had told me so). She talked to me in a way I've never experienced in a retail environment, her whole demeanour shocked me. From the eye rolling to the constant sighs, it was just a complete nightmare to deal with. I was treated like I was a liar who didn't deserve their attention. She eventually just decided not to bother with me anymore so she just turned her back and walked away. I eventually didn't follow through with the replacement and went elsewhere to get my weekly meat supply. Having spent thousands of dollars here I was shocked at what the reaction was after making a small complaint about their product. TL:DR - Don't complain about their products, just go and sign up to Costco like I did after leaving Pendle Hill Meat Markets. At least they won't tell you to "just buy another one" when you are complaining about your previous purchase So here I am, feeling awful and wasted 3 hours of my day. The only redeeming quality about this establishment is the professionalism of Scott, who unfortunately answers to some very very...

On saturday 17th august 8:25am i visited meat market
Pros: Cheap specials you can check on website before visiting. Fun meat market experience. Close to my house. Cheap capsicum 4$ for 4 big ones (red and green) and the brocoli heads dont have long stems 😀. Cheap tomato box for 3$.
My number was 88 and im sorry i didnt ask your name but the lady that served me was so sweet 😀 it was normal service but a smile and a soft tone made my day. I really appreciate how you go about your job. Keep it up !
Cons: Unfortunately after this lovely experience things took a turn for the worse. I went over to the deli and they have their cafe bacon and their bacon rashers. So normally myself i love a good bargain but i wanted good presentable bacon strips so i splurge the extra $4 a kilo and went for the rashers. When i get home they were so horribly handled that it looked like cafe bacon. Now not only do i need to buy new bacon to impress my guests but i got ripped off for getting rashers. I wont name or describe who it was but look after your meat!! 😡😡😡 $10kg is not cheap they looked fine until you yanked them out of their stack and broke the heads which i didnt see till later.
On the positive end there was a good experience with the asian cashier lady who kindly offered to pack my aldi bag with my purchases at the 2nd last register.
Conclusion: Thumbs up to these 2 employees 👍👍 and pendle hill meat market quality.
I wont be buying bacon again unless you have a super special. Like $3 cafe bacon. Avoid the deli if you can.
4 out of 5. The exceptional service at meats and cashier...
Read moreFantastic place to get all the top quality meat you'd ever want - pork, beef, lamb, chicken, turkey, processed meats corned beef, everything from mince to big lumps of meat to roast in a barbecue!!! They even have fruit and veggies plus lots of groceries; they have stuff for pets too and a delicatessen so why would you go anywhere else if you're in that area? You can get every cut every style of meat, beautifully displayed very well-organised - you pull a number and they call your number and you get served until you're finished. You have got to be ready because they serve you very quickly and efficiently and have so much product you just want to buy everything in the shop!!! They have a lovely cafe with indoor and outdoor seating so you can relax after your big purchase. Or sit by and let someone else do the buying!!! They have plenty of parking but it's always hard to park up near the entrance because everybody goes there!! I've never gone there and not got an off street car park. Why buy your meat veggies and groceries off Woolies or Coles or Aldi when you can come here and buy off an Australian locally owned family business? And you get stuff cheaper than supermarkets who hide their higher prices behind slick...
