Very nice place for a day out. Went with the dogs as they are allowed off leash in the park. They are not allowed on the beach but was able to pitch a tent close enough to hear the waves and have a nice nap. Very clean with plenty of bins around. Went on a friday and wasnt very crowded. Nice toilet facilities so the place is well maintained. The only issue is parking. The park and beach wasnt packed but parking was still an absolute nightmare at 12 noon. This is definitely a place where you will need to get to early if you want a 12P ticket parking spot (very few of these even though the place is popular). The Car Parking however, is a completely different can of worms - particularly on a hot sunny weekend. People are ready to kill each other, spots are overtaken by queue jumpers, cars block the roads creating massive lines waiting to pass. We waited and drove around for ages, there wasn't even anything on streets, and I can't walk too far or too high up the hill as I might pass out. It's a NIGHTMARE, and something has to be done by...
