Very nice place for a day out. Went with the dogs as they are allowed off leash in the park. They are not allowed on the beach but was able to pitch a tent close enough to hear the waves and have a nice nap. Very clean with plenty of bins around. Went on a friday and wasnt very crowded. Nice toilet facilities so the place is well maintained. The only issue is parking. The park and beach wasnt packed but parking was still an absolute nightmare at 12 noon. This is definitely a place where you will need to get to early if you want a 12P ticket parking spot (very few of these even though the place is popular). If youre late you will have to settle for 3P ticket or 2P free which you will have to wait around for.

A great place to go when you're in search for a beach that is not too crowded. I like that is has spots where you can sit down under the shade of trees while looking out to the beach. Kids enjoyed the beach as it was calm and not too deep. There were also rocky areas for kids to explore or even to set up for fishing. There's a playground for kids. Lots of spaces to set up picnic lunch. There's a public toilet and shower for those who need it. Parking though...is very expensive. We had to pay $20 to stay for 3 hours. Whoa!!

Wide open spaces, plenty of fun to be had. Kids loved the variety of playground apparatus.. they had a blast! The water play area was the most popular today! Not enough shade covers and shady areas and it was pretty hot today, and not enough picnic tables. There were a decent amount of bins so no trash lying around. The cafe was a bit expensive and not worth spending money there, even the kids understood and happily opted to wait and get more for less elsewhere.

Great little space that doesn't appear to be too well known outside of the locals (at least it's never been crowded when I've been there)

Huge green area with plenty of trees around for shade + one or two covered spots.

Toilets + change areas near the beach path. Playground for children.

Beach is a beautifully calm bay. If it wasn't for the sand it feels closer to a giant salt water pool than the ocean, great for relaxing in and not so strong swimmers.

Carpark down the bottom is reasonable, but obviously limited in storage (think it requires a ticket - I've never used it). Street parking available at the top of the hill. It's a steep walk down and back if you choose/need...

The white sandy beach, crystal clear water, the snorkelling and vast green valleys are amazing. The Car Parking however, is a completely different can of worms - particularly on a hot sunny weekend. People are ready to kill each other, spots are overtaken by queue jumpers, cars block the roads creating massive lines waiting to pass. We waited and drove around for ages, there wasn't even anything on streets, and I can't walk too far or too high up the hill as I might pass out. It's a NIGHTMARE, and something has to be done by...
