Lovely little beach with a bit of history. The name comes from the Chinese market gardens grown in the area behind the beach (Rosherville Reserve), established in 1840 by Cho Hi Tick.
The beach is calm and not crowded. But it is, alas, just a beach, and one of many in the area.
