The Scenic Skyway is a captivating attraction at Scenic World here in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. It is a cable car that offers visitors a remarkable and panoramic view of the stunning natural landscape. The Skyway glides across the Jamison Valley, providing breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, deep valleys, and lush rainforests. What makes the Scenic Skyway particularly unique is its glass-bottomed floor, which gives you the sensation of floating above the treetops and allows for an exhilarating perspective of the scenery below. As we soar through the air, we have witnessed the iconic landmarks such as the Three Sisters, a distinctive rock formation, as well as Mount Solitary and the Katoomba Falls. The spacious cabin of the Skyway allows ample room for passengers to move around, explore different vantage points, and capture memorable photographs. Additionally, the Scenic Skyway provides an audio commentary that shares interesting facts about the area's geology, history, and indigenous culture, enhancing the overall experience. Whether you are an adventure seeker, nature lover, or photography enthusiast, the Scenic Skyway offers an unforgettable journey with breathtaking views of the Blue Mountains' natural splendor. Best time to visit is during it’s opening at 10am

A fantastic mini adventure awaits at Katoomba Canyon, where you descend 300m into a stunning rainforest filled with Australian history. Surprisingly wheelchair accessible, this experience is on the pricier side but well worth it. The short train ride, the steepest in the world, feels like a thrilling rollercoaster, while the two cable car rides offer breathtaking views of the Blue Mountains. The Skyway, with its glass floor in the middle, ensures a great view even if you’re not at the sides. We spent about 4 hours here, exploring the scenic walkways at the bottom and enjoying the beauty of the rainforest. The Dinosaur Valley walk, which takes about 30 minutes, was a hit with the kids thanks to the animatronic dinosaurs. The cable car ride back up provided a perfect end to this unforgettable adventure. A must-visit when in the Blue Mountains!

We were invited to join the family on a last minute trip to Scenic World, having no idea of what was involved. The forest trail is great and the history of the mining camp and the extreme environment of the miners was interesting BUT my husband is terrified of heights and was horrified to discover that the trip involved cable cars and a gut wrenching journey on a tiny red carriage backwards up an almost vertical track. The children loved it all but my husband missed the stunning views as his eyes were scrunched closed. He finally refused the gorge crossing and drove around to Echo Point. For adventure lovers this would be a fantastic trip but unfortunately, it was my husband's worst nightmare. Lesson: always check before agreeing to anything!

Spectacular view and nice "rides" The rides are short but especially the railyway was worth waiting. We did that 3 times and the kids loved it. Very nice staff. We had some browser problems with our ticket booking and a DM helped us out. The view to the valley is incredible.defintely worth seeing. Price of the tickets seem high but if you take your time and use the rides as often as you like it's worth it. It is a touristic place! So you won't be alone in the nature. Prices for the food was a little expensive and the food to salty. Never the less. 5 stars because this is a must have seen in the blue mountains

I would have rated this 5 star if not because of my disappointment with the Terrace Cafe. It was fun and the rides and the walk I highly recommend. The menu at the cafe was limited and the taste was mediocre for the price that you pay. Wear a very comfortable shoes for the walks in between the rides. We went on the Sky Railway 3 times, once going down the steep hill and twice going up . It was so much fun. Staff doing the commenting in the Skyway and Sky Cable are quite entertaining and lively. Their merchandise are a bit pricey though.

Check online for days of operation, make sure you are booking your tickets online in advance, during Covid limited staffing at this time, please be patient with staff, sometimes a wait for travel is required at peak visitor times. Tuesdays Scenic Skyway is closed for cleaning and maintenance to machines, walkways and attractions. Please plan ahead for your visit, use the apps. Some of the roads, walking tracks around Katoomba are closed for repairs, but there are plenty of other tracks, places that are still useable at this time.
