We had our wedding at St. Michael’s Golf Club and honestly, we’re still riding the high. Even with a bit of unpredictable weather, the venue was stunning. Elegant, simple, and with that breathtaking ocean and golf course view, especially around twilight in summer—it felt straight out of a movie, just with better food and louder dancing.

Speaking of food—wow. Their in-house catering team absolutely nailed it. The portions were generous, the flavours were amazing, and somehow (miraculously?) the chicken was cooked to perfection. That might not sound like a big deal, but anyone who’s been to a big wedding knows dry chicken is practically a tradition. Not here! We had 135 guests—including a good crowd of hungry Greeks and Pacific Islanders—and everyone left with full bellies and rave reviews.

The staff were warm, friendly, and constantly checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. The flow of the venue worked beautifully—from the pre-reception in the atrium, to the main ballroom, to the outdoor terrace where people could catch a breeze between dance floor bangers. The venues included fairy lights and chandelier added the perfect sparkle.

Now, let’s talk about Sabrina, the superstar event manager! She guided us through every step—organising meetings, handling timelines, liaising with all our suppliers (even getting dietary requirements for the crew meals!), and helping style the space with Morgan, their in-house supplier. She let us bump in a day early since the room was free, which gave us some breathing room as we were styling the tables ourselves. On the night, she made sure everything stuck to schedule without it ever feeling rushed—especially when it came time to hit the dance floor. Priorities, right?

We DIY’d all our signage, table decorations, and wishing well, which brought everything together and made it feel us. It was the perfect blend of classy and personal.

If we had to give one small “oops” moment—it would be the haze machine setting off the fire alarm due to a technical glitch. We couldn’t use haze for the rest of the night, but honestly? No one noticed. People just kept dancing like it never happened. It was actually kind of hilarious.

All in all, our guests keep telling us it was the best wedding they’ve ever been to—and we’re definitely biased, but we kind of agree. St. Michael’s Golf Club, Sabrina, and our dream team of vendors helped us pull off a day we’ll never forget.

The most incredible wedding venue!! From the start, Sabrina and the functions team were absolutely phenomenal to work with. Sabrina was responsive, guided us through every process, and had so many little tips and tricks to help us plan the perfect day. She really made planning the entire day an absolute breeze, and our wedding would not have been the same if it wasn't for Sabrina. She helped us find and communicate with vendors, and took all the stress out of planning the reception in the lead up to the day.

On the day, Sabrina was there to make sure the whole function ran smoothly. We had a dedicated server, Trish, who made sure my new husband and I had everything we could possibly wish for throughout the reception. The entire service team were incredible, and it was mentioned to us by several guests how attentive staff were and how smoothly the day ran.

There were so many standouts of the night - the food was incredible, which again was mentioned by several guests, and portions were large & filling. The DJ/MC Dan (recommended and organised by Sabrina) was phenomenal, knew how to get our guests attention, was funny, and played excellent music all night. The real standout was the pyrotechnics (again, organised by Sabrina!) which delivered both indoor sparklers and dry ice for our big moments, as well as an incredible outdoor fireworks display!

We chose the platinum package which included our styling, DJ/MC, a three course meal, and so many extras. We were even able to use golf buggy's to take photos out on the course while our guests enjoyed a cocktail hour. All of these inclusions were such incredible quality and helped our wedding be both cost effective and beautiful!
