Agree with ALL of the positive reviews - this is an amazing park for kids. So many different sections, so much to do. The kids just run from one section to the next, and then back. People bring picnic blankets and picnics and set themselves up in the shade for the day, while the kids run off playing with each other. There are tables and chairs if you get there early. You could easily spend all day there and the kids would not get bored because there is just so much for them to play with. There is a cafe in the amenities room that gives you access to a bathroom, & coffee. There is plenty of parking on Homebush rd as well as Chalmers rd. There are a few large soccer fields, large open grassed areas, bike paths, flying foxes, slippery dips, play areas for toddlers, play areas for older kids, and security cameras everywhere. The only issue I had was it can be hard to keep an eye on the kids because its such a big park, but the cameras made me feel safe. Some areas are not shaded so bring hat's and suntan lotion. There is a water ffountain to refill water bottles. This is a very family friendly park. I saw lots of families with their extended families having day long picnics. The grandparents can go for walks, the mums and dads chat, the kids play.... a really family friendly environment that will entertain for hours. GREAT JOB COUNCIL!
Other much smaller but good parks in the area - with large grass areas are: Airey Park (near Flemington), Pilgrim park (Arthur st) and Fitzgerald Park (homebush) - if you want something smaller that has room for soccer/ cricket and a play area. These parks are much easier to watch the kids because they...

We played badminton for not too long with my friends to have a good shady spot at the gazebo for a short amount of time that the shuttlecock hit the top part of the deck besides having a blast with the catch ball for a short time throwing it to each other with the mite. Personally I will go back there again with my family on the weekends to enjoy the...
