I had 1 of my worst Chinese food meals tonight. Customer service was horrible. We ordered salt and pepper dish squid was literally just salt with a touch of shallots. It was so unbearable I wanted to send it back but the person I was with felt embarrassed so I told the waiter he should let the chef know this is way too much salt. I thought he would take the hint of at least tell management that would come over. No instead he said well many people come and love the salt amount. I’ve come here many years I know what normal salt levels are. So we told him we are shaking the salt off as we try to eat it and he just said oh ok! I was so mad! He didn’t care. The main Mongolian was fine but the satay chicken was bland iconically that needed Salt. My mouth was so dry from the salt I drank half the jug in first 15 mins of meal when I had a glass with my mains I saw a fly in my IceCube. I looked for the waiter who never came back after he placed the mains so I went to the counter and said there’s a fly in my ice which was now floating because i waited for service so long. They just looked confused again no apology. I sat back down to finish my meal and the waiter never came and brought me back a new drink. I had to ask for a new cup. Then he brings us fortune cookies mid main as to say you can go now then left and never came back! We wanted dessert but decided not to give them anymore money. They can’t say sorry and recognise mistakes and their food quality...
Read moreA pretty nice Chinese restaurant in Strathfield. The staff are friendly and hospitable. However, I wouldn’t say it’s the most authentic Asian restaurant - not that this is any indication, but I think we were the only Chinese people dining in the restaurant. The food was quite basic and not very flavoursome. However, it was still good enough.
The restaurant was quite beautifully decorated, I liked the art and the instruments hanging on the wall.
The spring rolls were decent - enjoyed them! The fried rice was also quite good - not super flavoursome. We also got the fried noodles with the seafood - this wasn’t very special, the noodles seemed to just be packaged noodles and the seafood and veggies were just steamed. The duck was decent - a little tough but overall good flavour. The fried tofu - this was very nice, more on the salty side, but quite enjoyable with the textures and tastes. The fried ice cream was nice too - can’t go wrong.
I liked that they also gave us fortune crackers. The service was decent. I’d recommend trying this place for yourself, but it was a bit on the...

I took it back with my reciept the next day & spoke to the manager!! I never asked for a refund only to simply replace it..he shook his head & turned his back and walked off!! Your lucky to have a restaurant and that was my last $30 you robbed from me!! It’s tough times and it’s the local community that keeps us afloat but if you continue to rob people and serve that garbage no one will appreciate you!!
Anyway as he’s walking off he says something in Chinese (speak English this is Australia 🇦🇺
