Hasn't been upgraded since the first fleet. In addition to this the Customer service attendant behind the counter has a problem with understanding simple answers. I think shes the owner or something. She will interrogate you and your family about who's playing and who's spectating. Don't even think about a spectator bowling once for fun, this worker/owner will come down on you like a hungry hawk on a squirrel. I will elaborate further....
It feels like its run like a prison i.e strict rules enforced with an iron fist. Its just a bowling alley where people go to have fun, but wow... the rules and the enforcement of them is mind boggling. for example, Walking in with a coffee purchased from other than their cafe is like walking in with a weapon of mass destruction.
Upon observation of you walking in with an outside purchased beverage or snack, you will be shunned and immediately told to exit the premises. This action will take priority over any other action the worker was doing at the time. The urgency that this worker showed about not walking in with an outside purchased snack will amaze you. Its like a s.w.a.t team responding to a violent riot. Its truly disgusting to the core, an over reaction at its finest, so unscrupulous and demeaning.
Aside from this, you will also upon entry, be greeted with the stench of old wet carpet. The arcade games and machines will take you back to the industrial ages, i guess its part of the theme they are trying to preserve, which i assume to be " dinosaur era".
Bowling balls are wretched, damaged, warped and wreaking of sweat. They're aged like a Vintage Gouda. Seating around the bowling alley is littered with duck tape repairs, signifying cheapness and neglect. The cushions will sink you to the abyss, lighting is dull, and the screens and bowling alley entertainment is lacklustre at best.
make sure you're wearing grippy shoes when leaving the premises, the slippery ramp and stairs is an accident waiting to happen. You will slide down the ramp with even the slightest of dampness in the air, then hold on to your life as you descend the pre-historic stair case, surrounded by peeling paint and bric a brac (looks like a storage area), its smelly and putrid.
Who ever runs the place seems not to care too much about current standards of safety, customer service, hygiene or comfort.
I don't recommend this place at all. Not only was i disgusted by the neglect of interior and exterior of the premises, the customer service is an absolute farce and a repellent to visitors coming to...
Read moreStrathfield Superbowl may seem like an exciting place for fun and entertainment, but my experience there has convinced me that it is not worth your time or money. From disrespectful customer service to malfunctioning games and unhygienic conditions, this venue fails to meet basic standards of quality and respect.
First and foremost, the behaviour of the owner was incredibly disappointing. When I approached her politely to inform her that one of the car games wasn’t working, she responded rudely was extremely aggressive and gave me dirty looks. Instead of addressing my concerns with respect and professionalism, she made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Customers deserve to be treated kindly, especially when they are pointing out issues that could help improve the business. This lack of respect shows that the management does not prioritize customer satisfaction.
Another major issue is that most of the games at Strathfield Superbowl are complete rip-offs. Many of the machines are broken or malfunctioning, making it nearly impossible to enjoy them. When you spend your hard-earned money, you expect the games to work properly, but at this venue, you are more likely to walk away frustrated. It feels like they are more interested in taking your money than providing a quality experience.
The cleanliness of the venue is also highly concerning. I have personally seen rats and mice running in and out of the kitchen area. This is a serious health hazard that should not be overlooked. A place that serves food has a responsibility to maintain a clean and safe environment, and Strathfield Superbowl clearly fails to do so. The thought of eating food prepared in such unsanitary conditions is appalling.
In conclusion, Strathfield Superbowl is a place that you should avoid at all costs. From the disrespectful attitude of the owner to broken games and unhygienic conditions, it is clear that this venue is not worth your time or money. There are plenty of other places to have fun and enjoy good service, so don’t waste your time at a business that does not value its customers.
Yes, I wrote this entire page because Strathfield Superbowl truly deserves to be called out. I felt terrible after walking out after how I got treated and people need to know what it’s...
Read moreThe young receptionist was extremely rude to customer. The place is cheap and equipments are fine but with such attitude, will not be coming back.
Update:
In response to the owner’s reply. I would like it make it clear that it is not about the fact that I wasn’t able to bring an unopened plastic bag and a bottle of unopened bubble tea into the venue. Rather, it is about the attitude that the receptionist was giving me.
I didn’t read the sign at the entrance as I was in a rush and was having a phone call. Then I was stopped by the receptionist. While it is perfectly understandable for the receptionist to stop customers and remind them of the COVID-19 safety regulation but she used a very hostile, condescending and sarcastic attitude which was very unpleasant and completely ruined the bowling experience.
I think it is perfectly fine to enforce the rules and regulation but as you can probably tell from the other reviews that it is not an isolated event that customers were treated very poorly when they inadvertently brought food or beverage in (I’m sure no one would deliberately bring food or beverage in if they know that it is strictly prohibited).
Once again, it is not about not being able to bring food or beverage in, it is about being treated decently as a person and being able to communicate with the staff in a comfortable and mutually respectful manner and environment.
No one wants to be treated like a criminal or suspect just because they are holding a tea and unfortunately not aware of the rules.
But then, if you think the communication style and staff attitudes are completely fine and it’s purely the customers’ problem, feel free to disregard...
