A funky little supermarket that reminds me of Japan, like something out of Showa. Space is tight with little room to navigate a trolley through. They stock a reasonable range of necessary items and the prices can be at least three more times than in Japan. They have the basics to help cook Japanese home style dinners, like curry roux, teriyaki sauce, some salad dressings and thinly sliced pork. The frozen section is good, with udon and natto. It's good for Japanese to buy some ingredients, and it's exciting for locals to get a taste of Japan. Unfortunately, the alcohol section is a tad expensive. They do well with the space they have. Definitely worth...

Now of course, most things that are from Japan are quite expensive because of import tax and etc. Their selection is quite large compared to other Japanese super markets I have been to.

The staff are friendly and helpful as one would expect. As a man who for some reason cannot find his car keys, it's the same thing here, one of the staff members helped me find dried kombu when I spent a total of 7 minutes trying to find it...

If there was an item you saw before and you don't see it anymore, be patient as they probably have them on backorder and it'll take some time.

Since it is located at the Northbridge plaza,...

I have just visited your physical shop at Northbridge Plaza today to buy a Sake. I was looking at "Kikumasamune Hyakumoku Junmai Daiginjo 720ml" however the shop selling it for $75 vs $65 on your own website. I asked if i could pay for same price as online as even with shipping cost the online one still less than $75. Unforunately I was refused by manager at the store. Thats very suprise to me as you are not a franchise. Very dissapointed with your service at the store. At the end i bought Dassai 23 which is same price as online. I guess i will never comeback...

Probably one of the best stocked Japanese Grocers. Items of note: Rice out the wazoo Japanese sake, nihonshu, and beer Assorted unique sauces beyond teriyaki sauce - very unique. The frozen section has a great selection of fish, preserved vegetables, mentaiko, saba/sanma/saury and much more Japanese snacks isn't as diverse, but there's some unique ones. In the back, there's assorted Japanese household cleaners, personal hygiene products, skin care products, daiso / 3 coins like items, and assorted Japanese dishware.

Local Japanese market that has the biggest selection of Japanese sake and beer (none of the others carry alcohol). It also has a little mini Japanese stuff section that includes random things (think Daiso). The frozen section is very good - even having real wasabi, cream croquettes, etc. Huge bottles of common Japanese sauces such as tonkatsu sauce and huge portions of curry mix makes this the place to stock up. The only weakness I can think of is that the instant ramen selection, however, is not that great.

Very good place for Japanese grocery and other stuff. As it's my first time visiting Japanese store for some grocery but it was worth it. Good variety but yes on little expensive side for organic products but it's ok as it has variety of brands for so as per ur convenience u can choose. Rice bags are very expensive & when asked why they told me due to less crops of rice in Japan. If u like to buy some authentic Japanese utensils, they are really expensive.
