This was a really nice walk. I always love walking through rainforests - the birdsong is so peaceful and calming.
You should keep in mind that the 1.8 km track gets extremely muddy after rain, so I'd recommend at least wearing a decent pair of joggers, and preferably hiking boots. You might want to bring a friend so you can help each other over the most slippery parts of the track if it's been rainy recently. Insect repellent is also a must.
Another thing to be aware of is that some of the photos posted here are of other locations. As much as this is a really lovely walk, it does not have a waterfall (go to Curtis Falls instead), a bridge through the canopy, or views...
Read moreThis is a lovely, easy walk. There is a large variety of birds singing throughout the treetops which makes for a relaxing walk. The track is dry unless it has been raining which makes it very muddy in some places. Also, there are a lot of tree roots crossing the path so good walking shoes are recommended. There is no waterfall on this track and it is in a quieter section of the mountain, so it is very peaceful with no traffic noise and less people than on the other walking trails. Whilst I enjoyed it, I just felt like it was missing something and because it was still under construction I thought that $20pp was a little steep for what you get.
I would definitely recommend the walk its just that I have been to many walks like this and they are free including (Kings Park, Perth WA).
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the walk but maybe a nice Cafe and some animals/better vantage...
