Bells Parade is a park on the Mersey River at Latrobe. Pig Island is opposite the park and is accessible via a footbridge. It looks like a lovely place for a wander.

We stopped there to see the BIG Platypus. ✔️

The Axeman’s Hall of Fame is there too.

The parkland is lovely. Latrobe should be proud of such a lovely space. It would be a great spot to kick back with a picnic and do some platypus spotting.

Cant believe the way this place is treated. Surely its a possible water sensitive site for water dwellers. The dogs run riot. The carry on is riotous. The harm from dog excrement desease etc must be potent down stream. The care factor is zero for native and resident animals. Its easy to put aside an area far more suitable than waste this great...

A lovely little park, with beautiful views over the canal. It had a great atmosphere, and full of cute little ducks! If you're a walker or runner, the trail keeps going quite far, or you can run around Pig Island. I'm visiting from out of town and spent a good two hours around sunset wandering around. Very nice if you...

Bring back and fix the fairy door trees! A nice place to recreate with new clean bbq facilities, toilets, jetties to jump off, and a playground with swings. Nice flat walking paths on the reserve side, and if you wander over to pig island and try find the fairy door trees there are boardwalks and all weather paths.
