I decided to give this place a try because of the 4-star rating, but I encountered so many issues.

I had to wait five minutes just to have my order taken. The fried rice didn’t seem to be made with overnight rice—it was wet and sticky. The Pad Thai was the worst I’ve ever had. The noodles were overcooked and left sitting for too long, making them extremely soft and clumped together when served. The lobster dumpling soup was overly sweet, and the tom yum soup had very few ingredients and didn’t taste right.

Overall: Poor service, small portions, overpriced, and low value for money. On top of that, the chef isn’t even Thai, making this one of the least authentic Thai restaurants I’ve been to, it’s the worst Thai...

Absolutely love the food at the Thai Imperial. Quality is consistent which is particularly important for my family. The Mango chicken is a family favourite, but my daughter also likes the sweet style beef and I also have a liking for the chicken cashew stir fry. With the Take away happy hour of 5 - 6pm where if you order 2 mains you get 1 half price allows you to get a full on buffet feast for your family at a super prize. The only place I buy take away from in Latrobe, as consistency is a necessity and they always provide it. Good job to Mandy and her team for providing such a wonderful dining experience both dine in...

I like to support local and try not to write reviews that are less than four or five stars but sadly this is the third time of serving us mediocre food. We ordered two of the mixed entree plates and everything was over cooked bordering on burnt, slightly oily and quite sad. The main meals were chewy pork belly, overcooked fish fillets, a sizzling meat platter with an laksa. Laksa was spicy and the accompanying roti was good. The best thing was the Josef Chromy wine ! When you can cook a better meal at home there’s a problem. If you’re after Thai I’d go to the food van on Thursday to Sunday in Latrobe opposite the...

Absolutely brilliant! A highlight of our trip to Tasmania. It's been recently overhauled and re-opened and provides a fascinating insight into the world of competitive wood chopping. I knew very little about this before, but asking a few questions of the guy at the door revealed that he was the 1992 world champion! He then gave us a vivid guided tour and oral history of wood chopping in Tassie. I'm so glad this place exists. Highly recommend. FYI—They have a donation box but do not take card, so bring cash! Same goes for the gift shop which, sadly, does not sell axes of any kind.

Food was ok but very rude staff, just because one time do wrong entry which we want to corrected but she told us is ok and let us in, we said we sorry but then she remind us 6x about the way out with serious/annoyed face, before order, after ordering, when the food came, when she take out our appetiser plates, taking out maindish plates (plus remind us where is the cashier located), after paid our meal. I feel like she want us out from the restaurant since the beginning but just not to obvious, also my husband insisted to try their meal. I have worse experience ever.

I took my family out for tea. It was wild weather outside we came inside it was so warm and inviting. Very friendly, polite and helpful staff. Meals didn't take long to arrive, was good timing. Our meals were fresh, well presented and very delicious, great size and very filling. Staff came and checked on our meals and to see if everything ok. Which is very nice to do. Nothing a problem. Prices were reasonable as well. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back.
