The Tathra Wharf is full of history. Although there is a lot of restoration happening, it is well worth a visit. The museum is located at the top level of the wharf. Entry is only $2 and the kids go in for free. The museum has an interesting exhibition on the history of the wharf, with many artefacts on display, including scale models of the wharf, old boats and many other maritime items.    Read moreWhat a find this place is! Sitting above the sea, the sounds of the ocean lapping against the pier as you explore the history of Tathra, this small museum is a must. Info on the war defence, the 150th birthday in 2012 of the wharf, this place has it all.The volunteers deserve your attendance and a small donation. (Indeed why not give a little more to keep the history going). Do not be put off by the current pier remodelling, the museum and Cafe below (which also is a real find!) are still open...
