We paid 224,64 euros for a 2 night stay in a medium room without terrace. We noticed a lot of black mold and limescale in our bathroom, and there was a pungent musty/damp smell coming from our shower. The hotel has no front desk person onsite, so we had to whatsapp a chatbot about this issue. It took a while before we were able to reach an actual person. They said they would send a cleaner to clean the shower. When we arrived back in our room, we saw that a cleaner had indeed been in the room, but the mold and musty/damp smell remained exactly the same. A dirty towel was left on the shower floor. Additionally, the bedding was gone, as well as the charger that was left on the bed. We contacted the chatbot again. Once we were able to reach a person from the hotel, they apologised for the inconvenience, said they would look for the charger, and offered to pay back 10% (so 22,46 euros). We never heard back about the charger. Other inconveniences that also made our stay less pleasant: - The wifi connection was spotty - The room was way too hot - We wanted to escape our very hot room for a little while, but there's no common spaces, not even a bench or a few chairs outside. The beautiful garden pictured on the website is the garden from the restaurant below the hotel; there's no way of sitting there outside the restaurant opening hours. During our stay, the restaurant was not open for breakfast. You could order a breakfast box, but you had to eat it in your room (with only 1 stool available). On top of that, the man from the restaurant was mean for no apparent reason. For example: when we sat down on the terrace in the evening and asked if we could still order a drink, the woman who gave us menus kindly said we could order 1 last drink before they closed. A few minutes later, the man angrily informed us that we should've known that the restaurant closes at 10pm, and urged us to leave the terrace asap. The next day, when we tried to enter the hotel part of the building using the code that was provided to us, the man from the restaurant snapped at us that the door was broken and that we didn't need to use the code (solid information, but he didn't need to snap at us). The view from the window was nice though.

Stayed here for a few nights in July. Upon arrival the room appeared very nice - we paid for an upgraded room that had a nice view (as it should since we paid for it lol). But after setting our bags down we noticed that a window had been left open and we had a swarm of flies in the room that we had to kill (gross), but not the end of the world. After the fly killing madness, we checked the bed as we always do at hotels and noticed that the bed linen was properly dirty, stains on the blankets and pillows. I removed the bedding and contacted the hotel via WhatsApp and we were arranged with bedding quickly (while we were gone) so that when we came back it would be fresh. Upon return we noticed that they had left all of the dirty bed linen in the room, which made me skeptical of how much they had actually done. In the evening I had taken a shower to which I noticed the bathroom was just left quite grimy, there was scum all over the shower, the grout in the floor was quite dirty etc etc. Usually I would overlook aspects like this in a hotel but I think because of the way the suite and hotel were marketed (and how much we paid + upgrading to a nicer room) I expected the space to be better taken care of, it just kind of left me wondering what the hell I was paying for? On top of all that it was just run down, there were parts of the baseboards missing and dirt marks all along the walls, one of the garbage cans was so dented it looked like they fished it out of the trash lol it just felt like lipstick on a pig; expectation vs reality were worlds apart. Not the best experience and won't be recommending sadly.

We stayed for 3 nights in this hotel in June. Initially, we were given the incorrect room number , but eventually, we had the correct room 109. It's a beautiful quirky room , with a roll top bath in the actual room and balcony with beautiful views. The room was clean and spacious with everything in it we needed. Other reviews suggest a fridge which would be an asset. It's a short 10 minute walk to the bus to go into Salzburg old town. As you leave the hotel turn right , pass the Zoo and the bus stop is on the left hand side. Bus number 25 and we got off at marketplaz a short walk across one of the bridges and you are in the main area of old town . We purchased from the tourst office a 48 hour pass for travelling/ entrances to sights and paid our first trip to Old Town on the bus . Negative : *Not having anyone at the front desk, particularly if there is an issue e.g given the incorrect room number. * Information in reception / rooms on how to get into town would be helpful. *The Japanese restaurant is on site, but we understand that it is no part of the hotel is very, very expensive . The food was good but we left hungry as small portions. The staff were aloof, banged plates on to the table during service , and didn't seem to have the ability to smile. Do not bother with this restaurant , it was an awful experience never to be repeated Only small issues with the actual hotel , we loved it there and our room was the best we have stayed in on our touring Europe holiday, and we were so sad to leave . We cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

Pros: Beautiful view (what sold me on staying here), comfortable bed, amazing shower, room and bathroom are clean. So basically the bare minimum expectations are met. Coffee/tea bar in-room is convenient in the morning. Japanese restaurant downstairs is pricey but good. If you have a car there is plenty of parking. Cons: no AC, you have to open the windows to have any air circulation, it gets very hot in the room during the summer. However it is hard to keep windows open because of people being loud and smoking. Very little sound barrier between rooms and people do not respect quiet hours posted in the hall. It’s a non-smoking hotel but people smoke anyways and the smell comes into your room easily. If you report people for smoking or noise nothing gets done about it because there is no front desk person to enforce house rules. The agent you chat with only says “we will remind them of the house rules” which makes me believe nothing is done about issues here. There is no refrigerator or ice or any way to keep drinks or perishables cold. No laundry facilities on site. Would not recommend staying here more than one night. It is very hard to sleep here because of heat, noise, and smoke smells. I booked this place thinking it would be a peaceful, beautiful hotel away from the city and even though I love the view I cannot enjoy it most of the time because the patios are so close together where people are being noisy and smoking. Also, if you do not have a car it is an hour walk into the city or you have to wait for the bus or take a taxi. This was not the experience I was hoping for after traveling for a long time to get here. Lesson learned: never stay at a hotel that does not have a front desk person. One night here would have been tolerable but I made the mistake of booking 5...
