Ski area Lermoos is the ideal ski resort for families with children or beginning skiers. It has many blue level slopes, ideally if you want to practice your technique. It’s not the biggest ski area but it’s a part of the Zugspitz Arena.

Buying a ski pass is quite expensive but it is valid for the whole Zugspitz Area. In total 6 different zones, all connected by free bus lines. Lermoos is one of the biggest zones.

Entrance to the Zugspitz glacier is not included in the standard ski pass. You’ll need to pay extra if you wish to ski there.

As for eating and drinks there’s plenty of chalet on the ski tracks to have a nice filling meal in the sun.

As for après-ski, there’s not much to see. Some bars here and there but I wouldn’t recommend this area if you like to drink and dance till sunrise.

In short: great for families and beginners, not so great for those who like speed...

Lermoos is not one of the biggest ski resorts around this area but close to Munich and has good quality of snow. The area is between the elevation of 1004 and 2100 m, so it’s not really high. Therefore you should know that the snow can easily melt when the weather id sunny. For ski and snowboarding, there are 27.3km of slopes and 1.7km pf ski routes available with 8 lifts to move around. For snowboarders I recommend firstly take 2 gondolas to get the top and enjoy the slope, then repeat the lower area with 1 lift. That area is usually less crowded and quality of snow is good for boarders. Some of the upper area continue to have one side higher and might be difficult for beginners to maintain the balance. The village is small but has a warm atmosphere. So it could be a great choice for your...

The piste are maintained very well. This place is one of my favorite places for snowboarding. You get an amazing view of the Zugspitze while snowboarding down the hill. The gondola and the chairlifts are very pleasant. They also have quite a good beginner’s piste for practicing. It gets a bit busy at the weekends, so I’d recommend to be there a bit early.
