Planai Schladming Bergbahn — Attraction in Politische Expositur Gröbming

Unbelievable how the company treads paying customers!!! Unbelievvable what happened! My wife and I bought two season skipasses for Schladming/Dachstein for the season 2022/2023, cause we love this skiresort. No – we loved it. I entered the control point at the skyrail station, also my wife did it at the same moment, looking forward a great skiing day. Immediately bells were ringing, staff were running to me and started shouting at me. I was accused of fraud by the local staff. I and my wife had mistaken our skipasses, her pass was in my jacket, mine was in the jacket of my wife. My wife was beside at this moment the staff were shouting with me. She tried several timest o clarify the situation and showed her skipass to the staff. But she was also unsulted and blamed!! The final end: I had to pay 120€ promptly, otherwise they would call for the police and they seized our both season tickets!! Retrospectively it would have been better to call for the police. I feel totally speechless and appalled about such behaviour! I won’t get tired of making bad recessions of this company with profiteering, absolutely unfriendly, blatant, respectless and bold behaviour towards paying customers!! Planai is one mountain of a ski resort comprised of a total of 4 near the town of Schladming. Elevation is up to around 2000m. It's quite a popular area for locals and tourists to ski in. Thus, it can be very busy on the weekend or holidays.

Most slopes are rather narrow unfortunately. They were also not so well prepared. Some of them were pretty bumpy at 9/10 in the morning already. Maybe it's too big of an area to do all slopes properly. Good, well-maintained lifts and clean facilities. On the mountain you'll find some Aprés Ski bars and several restaurants.

The food was also only mediocre. In total it's rather a mass tourism place (part of Ski Amadé). Parking is very convenient though in a modern car park right next to the lift and free of charge. In the town there's lots of bars and restaurants for Aprés ski available too if that's what you're looking for. The ski pass is one of the more expensive ones with 60€ pretty...

Very nice area, a lot of ski slopes, unfortunately not enough snow due to weather and at afternoon due to warm weather artificial snow on slopes become a lot of small snow hills, and must be carefully because increase risk of accidents. At last day of our acomodation was snowing so strong, 😊, and too much snow on slopes, (heaven for snowboarders) not very good for ski users, but I guess that next day was perfect, after snow truck fix the slopes. What it's also interesting to know, it's that the ski pass, cover entire area all ski slopes from area not only the Planai slopes and other 3 connected mountains, also Dachstein slopes, Dachstein glacier slopes all "Sky Amade" area.
