Sporthotel Royer — Hotel in Politische Expositur Gröbming

The hotel has fabulous facilities. We really enjoyed both the large indoor and outdoor swimming pools which are heated to pleasant temperatures. Both pools have plenty to keep youngsters entertained and there's also swimming lanes for guests wanting to swim laps. ||The indoor tennis courts are great and the racquets and balls provided of a good quality. ||Our bedroom was beautiful and spacious with a fantastic view of the mountains.||Dinner each evening was delicious - 4 courses with a good choice. There was a welcome buffet on the Saturday evening with fantastic options.||We enjoyed afternoon tea every day too! Breakfast is buffet style with a large range of dishes available.||The staff are outstanding - really helpful and friendly and they all speak very good English. The Director of the hotel is around at different times of the day and introduced himself to all the guests.||The hotel is ideally situated on the edge of town and is just a short walk from the cable car station, shops, restaurants. Lovely walks can be made from the door.||We took advantage of the Summer Card and and went up the Planai cable car and had some lovely walks with spectacular views. We watched the mountain bikers having great fun on some very challenging runs. There are several places up there for lunch or a drink and things to keep children occupied.||We will definitely return...

Summer has a different vibe in Schladming but the Royer is an exceptionally pleasant place to spend some time. The staff is incredibly helpful and accommodating. The location is nearby the Planai with its lift and shopping as well as downtown. Rooms can be a little on the small side and lack air conditioning, but that's rarely an issue. Balconies provide wonderful views of the surrounding countryside. There are plenty of both indoor and outdoor activities available at the hotel and in the surrounding area. The on-site restaurant serves a wondrous breakfast buffet and offers meals at both lunch and dinner, and are happy to accommodate those with restricted diets. There's a very comfortable bar area with a separate smoking lounge for those that feel that need.||||This was our third stay since 2017 and we have been happier each time. Make plans to be there during the annual "Lange Nacht" celebration (generally early-mid July) which sees the central plaza full of concerts and events and is open late into the beautiful...

We went here on a small family vacation for 3 days. The hotel have a very high service level, with most of the workers trying to do their best. We had one issue with a bar waiter where we was trying to order a drink, and before we could even say that, he responded "I don't have time" in a semi rude way. Not super nice. Thankfully 5 minutes after an other waiter came straight up and asked if I needed a drink (I think he spotted I was not satisfied) and brought I'd to me very fast. Their food is very great. They also are good to celebrate birthdays in the restaurant! The rooms was good, but it was 25C+ pretty much all the days we were there, and there was no aircondition, so it was really hot sleeping.
