Hotel Arlmont — Attraction in Sankt Anton am Arlberg

We stayed in a double mountain room with a magnificent view of the ski slopes. It was modern and luxurious, while also cozy and comfortable - the perfect combo! ||One of the highlights of staying at Hotel Arlmont was their Mont Spa, which I can confidently claim is one of the best in Austria! After a long day of shooting down the blue, red and black slopes in St Anton, you definitely need some recovery time. What better way to do this than a top-notch massage and spa treatment.||||We were excited to discover that the hotel featured different types of saunas: Finnish sauna, steam bath and a Sanarium. My favourite had to be the Panoramic Herbal Sauna on the top floor, which boasted incredible views of the evening sun setting over the surrounding mountains. It’s the perfect place to let go and find some inner peace, in our otherwise busy world.||I also loved the rooftop pool. Jumping into it after the toasty sauna is one of the best feelings! ||Refreshing and rejuvenating, the sauna + pool combination is a guaranteed way of helping you unwind after a busy day.||||As we continued to explore the hotel, we learnt of its new relaxation zone. It has a small library with ultra-comfy chairs and sofas for reading. Every evening I spent time there reading and working! I admired the design of the space: a warm, pure color scheme constructed from natural materials, yet still featuring modern aspects and contemporary European artworks.||We stayed at Hotel Armont with a half board, which meant breakfast and dinner was included. All meals were served in the top-quality Arlmont restaurant, where we had the pleasure of tasting delicious meals comprised of regional products, with international influences. I was blown away by their ability to perfectly combine fragrances, tastes and colors to create wonderful dishes that I adored. Even the waitresses were all so kind to us, we truly felt spoilt by the whole experience!||Standing on our balcony watching people skiing was undoubtedly a temptation to hit the slopes ourselves. And we certainly did! St Anton in general is a place which lovers of winter sports rave about. When traveling there in the winter season, you’re presented with a snowy paradise which has a world-wide reputation as having the best ski slopes. You’ll never be bored, as there are plenty of peaks and skiing mountains of different skill levels to keep you busy from dawn to dusk.||||Overall, I’m truly inspired by the hotel and its staff. They provided us with luxury and comfort while maintaining impressive standards of sustainable building and innovative design. Hotel location and amenities are amazing. Roof pool is very nice, it could be a bit warmer for my taste though. Right next to the ski school, so very handy if coming with children. Ski in/ski out cannot be better. Very good breakfast and dinner. Very short menu for lunch but enough. Unfortunately not all waitress/waiters are friendly. It felt like a very impersonal service. If you plan to ski on your last day, you’re basically kicked out. You don’t get any access to the ski room or parking once you check out. If you ask, you can park in front of the hotel but they recommend you in the breakfast menu to go and park somewhere else. You can shower in their single departure shower. This means: Having parked outside the hotel on a very cold and snowy day, we were removing the ski boots in the parking, jackets, helmets, and then walking again to the hotel with our clothes in our hands through the reception to shower. This felt a bit humiliating. The hotel wasn’t even full anymore so no real need to vacate. We were not asking to keep a room but allowing us to use the ski room until we had left would have been great.

In summary: It is like the pool, beautiful, you love it and enjoy it but you feel cold now and then and therefore don’t want to stay long or you think it twice before...

Preis-Leistung passt in diesem Hotel nicht zusammen. Das Hotel hat keine Liebe zum Detail - es ist kalt & unpersönlich, ob die Einrichtung oder der Kontakt zum Personal. Für uns wirkte der Aufenthalt eher wie ein Aufenthalt in einem etwas besseren Motel One mit Pool und Spa. Wir haben uns alle die ersten Tage oft im Haus verlaufen, da die Beschilderung zu dunkel ist und zu wünschen übrig lässt. Manager / Inhaber hat sich nie vorgestellt, Kontakt zur Rezeption unpersönlich - man hat nicht das Gefühl, dass man sich über die Gäste freut • Service zum Abendessen und an der Bar war 6 Abende in Folge absolut schlecht - nur die junge blonde Dame aus Bayern war sehr aufmerksam. Es gibt keine Struktur - man hatte für jeden Gang & jede Bestellung einen anderen Kellner - daher kam vieles durcheinander, es wurde selten nachgefragt ob man noch etwas trinken möchte. • Es gab einige Kellner die kein Wort deutsch gesprochen haben, wenn man in diesem Hotel als Gast kein Englisch spricht ist man aufgeschmissen. • Abendessen gibt es erst ab 19 Uhr - zu spät, da man nicht vor 21 Uhr rauskommt. Um19 Uhr sitzen schon so viele Gäste und warten darauf, dass es losgeht - wie auf Mallorca mit den Handtüchern... Im Sommer gibt es allerdings ab 18 Uhr essen - muss man nicht verstehen • Es werden bei Vegetarierin oder Allergikern 15€ pro Tag mehr verlangt, weil das Menü angepasst werden muss - geht gar nicht. Zudem 90% der Gerichte/Vorspeisen mit Fleisch - als Vegetarier ist man fehl am Platz. • Zimmer mit 24qm klein für eine Woche mit Ski Sachen, offenes Badezimmer - man hört & riecht alles. Unsere Freunde hatten ein günstiges Zimmer mit 20 m² im Keller, dort gab es lediglich einen Duschvorhang und man konnte gerade so am Bett vorbei laufen. Die Einrichtung billig - die Glaswände Im Badezimmer sind nicht befestigt, so dass diese sehr laut wackeln wenn man dagegen kommt. Ebenfalls die Trennwände im Zimmer sind einfach nur Holzplatten die aufgestellt wurden, wenn man hier nachts aus Versehen dagegen kommt weckt man alle auf. Über Design lässt sich streiten, meiner Meinung nach wirken die verbauten Materialien (Sperrholz, Filz) sehr billig und das Hotel ist unpersönlich eingerichtet. • Mitten in unserem Aufenthalt wurden elektronische Poller vor dem Hotel von der Stadt installiert - als Gast wurde man nicht vom Hotel informiert, sodass man irgendwann nachts vor dem Poller stand und keine Ahnung hatte, wie man zur Tiefgarage kommen soll. Dem Hotel war das bekannt, man hat uns nur nicht informiert. • Der Chef fährt einen Mercedes Bus mit Aufdruck vom Hotel - aber es gibt keinen Shuttle, der den Gästen angeboten wird, um von A nach B zu kommen oder mal zum Bahnhof gefahren zu wird. Die ersten 4 Tage ging der Lift am Hotel nicht - das wurde nicht vom Hotel kommuniziert, das haben wir erst von der Skischule erfahren - da wurden alle Gäste einfach sich selbst überlassen wie sie sich dann organisieren. Viele ausländische Gäste; die kein Deutsch sprachen, waren darüber sehr verärgert. • Auf den Zimmern gibt es nichts zu trinken, kein Wasser, keine Mini Bar, kein Kaffee/Tee & es gibt auch keinen Roomservice / Service zum bestellen. (In Zeiten von Corona ist in AT Hotels normal, dass die Mini Bar leer ist und auf Wunsch aufgefüllt wird - hier gibt es einfach gar keine)

Pro: • Abendessen & Frühstück war immer sehr lecker. Großes Lob an die Küche! Wir essen alle Fleisch & Fisch daher hatten wir mit dem Menü wenig Probleme. Jedoch kam man nie unter 2 Stunden vom Abendessen raus. Das war die ersten zwei Abende nett, danach nur noch nervig. • Pool auf dem Dach richtig cool - tolle Aussicht. Schön warm! • Ski In & Out möglich, sehr zentrale Lage des Hotels, toller Skikeller mit einem Schließfach pro Zimmer, man bekommt den Skipass auch im Hotel • Parken kostenlos • Wunderbare Physiotherapeutin Jodie - thank you so much :-) • die Betten...
