Our party of 7 had dinner one evening while we spent a week here. Located a quick cab ride away from our hotel (or a 10 minute walk downhill), this gem is tucked away in a building not far from the center of everything. The space is intimate and cozy decorated with various wines and gourmet goods.
Ronnie was the perfect host who walked us through the concept of the restaurant, what was being served and some story telling.
We started with some bubbles and beer for the table. They brought over an amazing bread basket with various breads and crackers.
First came a broccoli soup. Not something I normally would order but it was very good. Taste of fresh broccoli but not like the heavy "cream ofs" that we get in the US. Next up was the herring. This was on a bed of beets and onions with seaweed on the side. The combination was not what I expected but the outcome was fresh and delightful!
The main was a leg of lamb that was cooked for hours upon hours until the meat literally fell off the bone. The taste was flavorful and tender.
Next off was the cheesecake which was inspired from San Sebastian. Light fluffy and amazing.
We paired this with a great local pinot (which I am usually not a fan of) that went perfect with the meal.
Service was on point and the added extra of having Ronnie walk is through this culinary expedition was well worth it.

Read moreI don’t even know where to begin. I suppose the beginning is best-upon entering the beautiful space that is Endlich, we were greeted so warmly by Henrick and Henriette. As if we had been friends for years. We were graciously shown some seats and offered a cocktail while waiting for everyone else to arrive for their reservations. (Endlich has limited seats and everyone is shown to the dining area together) We enjoyed some local wine and were shortly shown to our table in the dining area. From that point on, Henrick and Henriette transported us into their world of incredible hospitality , delicious food, and incredible wine pairings. There was not a single detail overlooked or spared in any of the courses. You can sense how much time and care and passion is in every single one of their choices. Every course was better than the last and the wine complemented perfectly. And after all was said and done, it was an absolute pleasure to spend some time getting to know Henrick and Henriette.
