The place has the faculty for physics and astronomy and the access to the park is mainly meant for the people at the institute. It is not well maintained either. Mittelgroßer, urwaldähnlicher Park im 18. Bezirk, der erst seit einigen Jahren öffentlich zugänglich ist. Entsprechend hält sich auch der Besucherandrang bisher noch in Grenzen.
In der Mitte befinden sich das Astronomische Institut der Universität Wien sowie einige Nebengebäude. Rundherum führt ein Weg durch den Park, eigentlich ein Wanderweg, der größtenteils nicht befestigt ist. Große, alte Bäume sorgen für Schatten an heißen Tagen.
Nett für einen kleinen, ruhigen Spaziergang zwischendurch. Für einen größeren Spaziergang oder Aktion mit Kindern würde ich den nahegelegenen...
