I think the royal greenhouse is not only worth a visit but also deserve you carrying a good camera for it! The most splendid thing I find to be is the architecture itself. The grand steel arcs and the huge transparent glasses remind me of the large train shed of the Antwerp Central Station, and also at some point even resembles the movie settings in Jurassic park, only it is much more vivid and glamorous with the emerald steel structure and the exotic flora and foliage from all over Asia, Australia, Africa and South America. Some of them are a rare sight even in their places of origin. I first followed an ouydoor route where one has a glimpse of the rolling grassland of the royal chateau, and then visitors enter the greenhouses following a flower-lined trail dotted with occasional statutes, small fountains, and carefully arranged landscapes. There is a souvenir shop and a coffee place just besides the exit where one can purchase plant seeds, postcards, or sit down under a glass dome and bask in the lovely sunlight a bit. The lines are long and a bit overcrowded but still I would recommend a visit if you stop by Brussels when the greenhouses are open. Ticket is 2.5 euros and bancontact is accepted. There is a free parking lot just across the road from the main entrance. The place is only open for about 3 weeks every April/ May so check for...

Located at Av. du Parc Royal 61, 1020 Brussels, Belgium 🇧🇪. I was unbelievably lucky to be in Belgium when these stunning greenhouses were open. They are only open to the public for three 3️⃣ weeks every year and you have to jump in and grab them when they become available on the website as tickets are limited. This makes the tickets very exclusive. It’s during the spring that the tickets are available so the gardens and greenhouses are stunning. The gardens are superbly designed and maintained and the flowers are really lovely. They were so lush and the greenhouses were beautifully curated and perfectly showcased nature’s beauty. I really took my time when exploring and i think I was there for about 5 or so hours. I made use of the shop inside and stopped for a drink and pastries 🥐. There’s also toilet 🚻 facilities inside. I didn’t use a guide, I just made my own way around and found that good because I was able to go at my own pace, no feeling rushed or on a tight schedule. I did however, see some people with guides. It does get busier during the day but I was able to get some great photos at dusk. I would absolutely recommend visiting these superb gardens and greenhouses. I had a truly amazing time. Thumbs...

Welcome to my wonderland 🌴 Totally forgot I had captured the beautiful Royal Greenhouses of Laeken - it was the perfect timing to see it fully bloom - actually I can't wait till it's blossom season again! 🌺 This complex of classic-style greenhouses near the castle of Laeken with beautiful pavilions, domes and galleries is designed in 1873 by Alphonse Balat on behalf of King Leopold II - every year in spring the greenhouses are partially opened to the public for just twenty days as it used to be at the request of Leopold II - the tradition is continued by all monarchs who reigned after him - isn't that beautiful? 😍 . . . 📍Royal Greenhouses of Laeken - Belgium 2022 . . . #royalgreenhousesoflaeken #visitbelgium #serresroyalesdelaeken #kingofbelgium #bruxelles #laeken #royalgarden #belgium #brussel #greenhouse #discoverwithgirls #girlswhotravel #exploretheworld #globetrekker #stayandwander #iamtb #wanderwomen #shetravels #explorerbabes #girlsdreamtravel #beautifuldestinations #wanderlust #lifeofadventure #travelmood #travelmoments #travelblogger #traveltheworld #passionpassport #travelgirl #girlstravel
