Girls as young as 10, can choose to study the way of life in Buddha's teachings here. After 9 years of rigorous Buddhist training, these girls will become "master" nuns and can then go back to their villages to teach. To become a lama, will require many more years. What I observed during my visit, was that the nuns are very proactive, keeping the site as clean as possible. Cleaning, wiping and sweeping all the time.

Thangthong Dewachen Nunnery, Thimphu Bhutan थांगथोंग डेवाचेन नुननेरी : यह बौद्ध मठ थिम्फु के सिटी सेंटर से लगभग 4 km की दूरी पर ज़िलुखा में स्थित है. इसे Zilukha Anim Dratshang के नाम से भी जाना जाता है. इसमें लगभग 60 नन रहती है. इसका निर्माण 1976 में थांगटोंग ग्यालपो, ड्रूबथोब रिक्की जैडेल द्वारा करवाया गया था. इन ननों ने अपना जीवन आध्यात्मिकता और बौद्ध धर्म के लिए समर्पित कर दिया है. एक विशाल द्वार से प्रवेश कर, कुछ दूर पैदल चल कर आप थांगथोंग डेवाचेन नुननेरी में पहुंचते हैं. परिसर में बोध मठ है व् ननों के लिए आवास बने हुए हैं, व् एक छोटा सा बगीचा है. आप चाहें तो इसमें रहनी वाली ननो के जीवन शेली का अध्ययन कर सकते हैं . और ज्यादा यहाँ कुछ नही है, फोटो क्लीक करें व् आगे चलें . arunanita
