What an amazing experience!

The tour started right on time, no delays. It lasted almost 2 hours.

As it's off peak season, the group was small. Although there was a mix of English and Portuguese speaking people, our guide did her very best to explain everything in both languages.

The tour is in their huge warehouse where you can see all the carnaval props, floats and costumes displayed.

If you want to know the history and everything about Carnaval, this is definitely the place to be.

At the end, you get to dress up in their costumes, try a glass of caipirinha and learn some simple samba steps while wearing the costume. (a previous review spoke about this, no, the costumes are not dirty)

Toilet facilities are available and clean. (another reviewer complained about filthy toilets, not true)

The tour requires climbing of stairs but just 2 floors. Not sure if there are lifts for those who visit and aren't able to go up stairs. I'm sure they do?

Everything was great from start to end.

Hopefully one day I'll be able to experience the real deal of the Carnaval Parade.

Thank you...

If you’re visiting Rio and want to truly understand what makes Carnival the soul of this city, this tour is an absolute must! From start to finish, it was an unforgettable experience that went far beyond the parade and parties — it was an immersion into the art, culture, and heart of Brazil’s most iconic celebration.

Our guide, Lais, was nothing short of incredible. Her passion for Carnival was infectious, and her knowledge seemed endless. She brought every detail to life — from the months of preparation that go into each samba school’s performance, to the intricate craftsmanship behind the costumes and floats, to the deeper cultural and historical roots of the celebration.

Every moment was engaging, informative, and filled with joy. I highly recommend this tour, especially with Lais as your guide. Her warmth, enthusiasm, and deep knowledge make the experience...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A vibrant, behind-the-scenes look at Carnival — a must-do in Rio!

We had an amazing time touring one of Rio’s top samba schools, and this experience was truly a highlight of our trip.

The tour gave us a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the world of Carnival — from the elaborate floats and dazzling costumes to the deep cultural roots and community spirit that power it all.

One of the most fun parts was learning some samba moves from two professional dancers in full Carnival costume! 💃🏽✨ We also got to try on real costumes ourselves and pose for a mini photo shoot — an unforgettable moment for the whole family.

Our guide Rosa was friendly and informative, and the entire experience struck a perfect balance between fun and cultural insight. If you’re in Rio and want something truly special and immersive, don’t miss...

A really fun and insightful experience. They took us behind the scenes to see some of the various floats in one of the warehouses. They gave us a complete breakdown of how a carnival is organized. It requires an absolutely incredible amount of work to organize and I have so much respect for everyone working together to showcase some of the most creative floats and outfits I have ever seen. Brazil truly goes all out with their carnival. We were treated to a surprise in one of the rooms where we got to try on some carnival outfits. A samba girl entered the room and we proceeded to dance with her. It was so much fun! Highly recommend experiencing this. What made this extra special is that we went to the Sambadrome the night before so when we arrived we were allowed to also take as many photos as we wanted.
