( Diziam....OCULTOS, porquê do Nivel do mar...nao eram vistos!

Do Lado ESQUERDO, A FORTALEZA DE ST. CRUZ defendendo o outro lado, da Entrada da Baía!

A FORTALEZA DO " PICO"...Executava às mesmas " funções" da Fortaleza do LEME.

A FORTALEZA BARÃO DO RIO BRANCO.

FORTALEZA DE IMBUÍ Como ela é a PRIMEIRA, a AVISTAR Forças Inimigas , Vindas de NORDESTE/ LESTE, ERA CHAMADA " SENTINELA DO ATLÂNTICO".

Underrated mini-trek up a mountain for amazing views. It’s free and only takes 20 minutes to walk up (1.2km up and another 1.2km back down).

It’s a bit weird as you are walking through a military base, but the soldiers are all friendly and the views from the summit are worth it, as are the little monkeys who welcome you at the top.

There were very few people when I visited - it doesn’t seem to be a thing that people are aware of - which is a huge shame as it’s a well-maintained site with excellent views (and...

Beautiful place. Very safe to trek to this lovely fort. Since not many people are aware of this, you would not see a lot of people which adds to its beauti. You get extremely incredible views of the famous Copacabana, Ipanema, and Leme beach along with this you get to see Christ The Redeemer and Sugar Loaf mountains(Pao De Acucar). It was free due to Covid in 2021-22, not sure what it is now. 20 mins trek from Leme Beach. While you trek you get to see those tiny monkeys called as Marmosets, only found in...

Opens exactly by 0930H. We visited on Sunday (January 16, 2022); access is free of charge. You need to climb up the mountain approximately 15-20minutes. Prepare to have water and towel with you. During the climb, there are rest stations. If your lucky, monkeys will be there this join your resting moment. There is a restroom in the top but no water supply. You can see the lans ape view of the Favela, Sugarloaf, and the Copacobana Beach.
