Upon arrival, our room was not clean. The floor was so dirty that our feet were black. Sand was in-between the sheets. The upholstered chair was badly stained with food, blood and sticky stains. There was no bench at the end of the bed for our luggage, and we are still without. The shower has black mold on the interior base that still has not been addressed. The sink was clogged and the faucet with no pressure and my husband had to fix that trashy sink by himself by using tools in a store at Leme. The bidet sprayer has never worked. The television had only 10 channels, one in English, and out of 10 channels, only 03 actually worked or displayed a blue screen. The subtitle feature was broken, and maintenance called said nothing could be done until we addressed again, which caused your hotel to install a better TV who is mirroring other guest's passwords and codes and we spoke to other guesses so we came to the decision not to registered anything to watch Netflix or Amazon prime afraid that our credit card information could be misused or cloned.|| The front desk staff was kind and addressed some items quickly. However, were unable to address all and speak to the manager, who seemed to be on VACATION. We wrote an email to the website on our greeting letter. We received no response. || After five days in bed with an unexpected injury, I asked the front desk staff to please replace our television. This request was met, however we had to set up the television ourselves. The television signs are in and out for other guests’ access. || During our 22 days at Arena, we lost our privacy and deluxe view for two days as the windows were being cleaned. This included an early morning incident where I was hit in the face suddenly with a dropped rope as I stepped onto the balcony. We were also denied access to the rooftop area for one day for some unexpected maintenance task. There was an evening that we were without water to shower. BTW, the pool was dirty, slime, and not properly treated with pool chemicals (we work with professional pools)||3 days ago, our toilet ceased to work, and IT wasn’t CLOGGED AT ALL. We requested service multiple times while using a trash can to flush.||||Maintenance first said we should switch rooms cuz he couldn't shut the water off. The valves WERE OLD AND DAMAGED, but when we said we were without water for days last week, he replied, RAISING HIS VOICE, 'THAT'S NOT MY PROBLEM; I WASN'T HERE LAST WEEK, SO WAIT FOR THE HOUSEKEEPER.’ However, he returned to the bathroom after the bovine treatment given to us, the paying guests, and miraculously, the toilet started to flush like magic. Hotel Arena Leme, I’m glad we know some consulates and ambassadors in Rio, and we have already forwarded the letters, photos, and recorded conversations to them. BTW, requested laundry services that had a SHEET with no price on it, and your hotel tried to charge us R$ 2,400.00 for laundry services which didn’t have our underwear; we didn’t ask for it to be ironed, and we could have bought a new wardrobe if we knew it would a fortune to wash t-shirts, a couple of pants and dresses once a week. You are smooth operators and don’t try to tell us again that the prices were displayed on the pink sheet BECAUSE WE ASKED ONE WITH THE price or PRICE ITEMS THAT COULD BE CLEAR TO YOUR FOREIGNER AND EVEN NATIONAL GUESTS.||||GOOD JOB, WINDSOR LEME. Maintenance admitted HE DIDN'T KNOW TO PROGRAM DE CHANNELS, and we had to use YOUTUBE TUTORIALS TO learn how to program a smart TV who were cloning accounts and showing us other guests’ accounts and permission to watch videos they rented under their name. WINDSOR LEME will post videos and photos on social media to show the scamming and fake marketing. you promoted. We had to leave 3 days before our departure and next time maybe Hell will treat PAYING customers who stays for 24 days in a hotel better...

We loved this hotel and we will definitely stay here again! We arrived late on the first night and there were a couple of issues, but once we raised them, the reception team sorted them out as soon as they could. You cannot beat this hotel for location, value for money and the dedication of their staff. The reception team helped us throughout our stay and we are very grateful to them. This was a special trip for us and they went the extra mile. The rooms are not the best or biggest we’ve stayed in but they have everything you need. The beach views are amazing. Do book a room on a higher floor (VIP rooms - with sea view - recommend from 5th floor up) as it’s worth the extra. Little details made a distance from some more expensive hotels. I loved the endless hot water and strong water pressure. I loved the fact they had loads of hand/shower/conditioner in big wall dispensers (not those tiny single use plastic bottles!) Breakfast was great. Cashew juice and guava for breakfast! Lots of choices and changes every day. I didn’t like the scrambled eggs but the poached eggs were great! One point for improvement: there were sometimes 4x types of sausage dishes at once. All were pork. It would be good to have some chicken or beef sausage for a change. You could pick up a towel on your way to the beach - how convenient! The beach at Leme opposite the hotel is like your own private beach. The safest part of Copacabana or Ipanema. A police car was stationed on the corner outside the hotel and the military police (dressed in black and yellow for the beach) were visible between the hotel and beach. There was a nice crowd or local regulars on the beach. Do follow safety advice, but do that and you can relax. We...

If I could give this hotel 6 stars, I would! I'll start with warm, friendly and accommodating nature of all of the staff. FELIPE, one of the front desk staff, was phenomenal. Not only was friendly, he took extra time at every interaction to go the extra mile. From dinner suggestions and reservations, to fielding questions about the area(s), booking tours for us and almost always turning the computer around to provide a visual of where we were and where we were going... I hope your superiors pass this along to you, you definitely made our stay THAT much better. Upon our arrival, we were earlier than the properties "2pm" check-in time, but Felipe moved us to a different floor that a room would have been cleaned sooner, gave us 2 drink vouchers for the roof-top terrace and as promised - came down an hour later and got our keys (roughly 12:15pm) The hotel room was exactly as pictured and clean. We had a corner room with beach view and you could see all of Copacabana Beach, it was lovely. Complimentary breakfast was good, nothing too crazy, not underwhelming, ends at 10am. The cleaning lady for our room was so sweet! Always smiling, always did a great job, never been so happy to tip a human being! When trying to decide where to stay, having a gym was a factor for me. Despite being on vacation, I like to get even a quick 45/60 minute workout in, daily. The gym at the facility EXISTS, but is quite small and sliiightly underwhelming. Highly recommended! Will be back!

I stayed at this hotel for 5 days. It is across the street from the beginning of the strip at Cocacabana. It is a quite area that has many restaurants, shops, pharmacies and supermarkets that are walking distance. Upon arrival, Gabriel helped me and he was very professional. He even allowed me to get an early check in. All of the front desk staff speak clear English. The rooms are clean but they are small and the food at the restaurant is mediocre. My only complaint is about the rooftop. The view from up there is very enjoyable but they enforce many rules that I feel are unnecessary I brought a bag of cookies to sit and enjoy them at the table and they kicked me out. They said I cannot bring in outside food. The next day I ordered a drink from the hotel bar and the bar tender refused to bring me the drink. He told me I cannot have the drink in the pool. Because of this experience I will stay at a different hotel next time I go to Rio. The only reason I dont leave 2 star review is because of how courteous and friendly Gabriel and all the other staff were. NOTE: Uber is cheaper and safer than the regular taxis. I was scammed many times with metered taxis. Pool is very small. It looks big in the photos but it is tiny.

Decent hotel but there were a few issues. For the amount of money paid, I think things could have been better. The good: 1. Beautiful views from the rooftop and a nice bar and pool 2. Friendly staff 3. Decent room 4. Good breakfast included The bad: 1. Safe did not work when we arrived, had to ask for a technician to come and fix it 2. Phone in the room did not work so couldn’t order room service without leaving the room 3. Do not disturb or clean room electric sign did not work 4. The music from the restaurant downstairs was really disturbing, loud and made it very hard to sleep. We were in room 103 right above the restaurant and the music was played loudly between 06:00-22:00. We asked to change rooms but it wasn’t possible 5. On the second last night (01.01.2022) there was a very strong and overpowering smell of grilled meat in the room I hope they can address some of these issues because a lot of small problems can eventually become a big problem.
