An excellent place to walk throughout the day with a couple of kms of open beach. Swimming is another story. Most of the time, during this time of the year, it is red flagged. The scenery is awesome. This is mainly Copacabana. If you go to the south, you'll find yourself walking - exhausted - in Ipanema. Another beautiful place. The boardwalk in Copacabana is dotted with kiosks that serve a variety of foods and drinks. Brazilian music in almost everyone single one. There're public restrooms about every 100-200 mts. Most of them are well kept and clean with a keeper for service and security. Seniors are free. If you're eating at a kiosk, the attendant will give you a pass for free to the restroom.
