Mesquita Brasil — Attraction in Região Imediata de São Paulo

Brazil Mosque is the largest mosque in Sao Paulo, Brazil and is one of the most beautiful mosques in Latin America. It is known as “Mesquita Brasil” in Sao Paulo and is located on Estado Avenue and therefore, also called ‘Masjid Estado’. It is somehow out of the way from city center. The easiest way to reach here for a new tourist is to catch a taxi or Uber from Pedro II Metro station on Red Line 3 to the Mesquita Brasil. Every Friday large gathering of Muslims from all over Sao Paulo is held here to listen to ‘Khutba al-Juma’ and offer Friday prayer. The architecture of the mosque has classical touch of Syrian and Moroccan mixed style. The ablution room and privy rooms (Wuzu Khana as well as ‘taharat khana’) have very clean, serene and modern touch. Arabic bread is sold in a small stall at the door of the mosque on Friday. Tea (Qehva) and Coffee is served free after the prayer. There is a separate enclave for women to offer Juma prayer. The mosque has a very sacred but lively, congenial and comfortable atmosphere. Visitando a primeira mesquita islâmica do Brasil !

Estou temporariamente trabalhando próximo a uma mesquita e como não tenho o preconceitos dos ignorantes e sobretudo sou um amante de Deus acima de qualquer religião, ousei ir na porta da imponente mesquita e perguntar se poderia conhecer o templo, e mesmo fora de dia de rito fui muito bem recebido e me deixaram entrar e ficar lá dentro sozinho por longos minutos e já iria me retirar quando um senhor se apresentou e lhe fiz muitas perguntas... é claro senão não seria eu... e enfim a conclusão é que ainda que tendo particularidades, todas religiões merecem ser respeitadas por procurar apoiar o homem na sua jornada terrena, e na sua busca por Deus que lhe concede um sentido maior para sua existência, mas em resumo as perguntas foram:

Qual o objetivo do culto islâmico ? R.: Comunhão com Deus e nenhum profeta é cultuado o representando ainda que respeitados .

Quem é Deus ? R.: É o supremo criador do universo.

Por que estamos aqui ? R.: Por amor de Deus, e é bom viver fazendo o bem porque depois quando morrermos seremos julgados por nossas ações.

Por que o islamismo é visto com preconceito ? R.: Devido a mídia, ações de alguns radicais, e devido a outros que poderiam fazer, mas não esclarecerem sobre a religião. Você veio na nossa porta pedindo para conhecer o templo, deixamos entrar e o recebemos bem porque somos praticantes da...
