Remember the white cliffs after which Caesar in 44 BC named UK Albion. Here are too some cliffs like that, nearly white. It reminded me of UK the second i stepped out of the bus.

When I was planning this journey i was super hyped about this beach, photos looked like Mona Lisa on google, and the reviews were astonishing. Everything went great while i was living in my dreams, until i got off the bus and stepped in front of the beach. The sand is like as if D-day took place on this beach just yesterday. Plenty of trash spreaded across the beach, strong waves, and most importantly it was just around 8 o clock when i arrived and already there were plenty of people, i don’t know how it will look like in the busiest hours. Nothing like what i was expecting. I decided then to go 2 km to the south and roast myself on the big rocks while the banging waves were humidifying the air around me, even tho i intended something...

Kourion Beach (Limassol) is absolutely stunning—one of the most scenic spots on the coast! The dramatic cliffs and archaeological backdrop add a captivating touch that you won’t find at many other beaches. The water is crystal clear and refreshing—perfect for swimming or just dipping your toes.

There’s a relaxed, natural atmosphere here; it’s ideal if you want to enjoy some peace and breathtaking views, away from crowds. Bring a towel or sunshade, and you’re all set. If you’re up for a bit of adventure, the nearby ruins make for a beautiful walk before or after your beach time.

Definitely a must-visit if you’re in Limassol—and a great choice if you value scenery as much...

Contrary to a previous review, there are no hotels on Curium Beach. There were 3 Local tavernas when I first came to the area 40 years ago , but one has been closed, one modernised and the 3rd maintains its old fashioned Cyprus character. The latter is Curium Beach Restaurant, still a great place for breakfast. Today 19 Dec 2023, the sea was warm 22C, the air temp 26C. One of the few Restaurants that stays open almost all the year round. Beautiful location, next to the Christian Basilica below the city of Curium. There is another large Restaurant which has an excellent play area for children, next to Agios Ermogenios church, which is in the approach road...

The beach is easy to reach by car and there is a public bus stop as well. Parking is free and the sunbeds are 2.50€ per bed and 2.50 per umbrella. There are free public toilets, which, given the temperature, are actually okay to use. The lying area is rocky sand, which unfortunately is about polluted with cigarette bums or other small stuff. The water, however, is really beautiful and shallow. The entry is a bit rocky but after that it’s super soft sand. Bonus: Between the restaurants, there is a small ice cream truck with surprisingly good ice cream :)

Kourion Beach – A Natural Beauty with Room for Improvement Kourion Beach near Limassol is a natural beach, with some areas covered by large pebbles. There are two restaurants close by, but unfortunately, the beach itself and the surrounding lounging areas aren’t as well-maintained or cleaned as one would hope. It's a bit of a disappointment considering the stunning location. The beach chairs, like everywhere in Cyprus, are priced at €2.50 each. I'd recommend bringing a large towel to cover the loungers, as some can be a bit dirty.
