Read moreI ordered from their ‘vegan’ section and they didn’t even know what vegan is.. They put mayonnaise on my meal lol.
When I asked them about this, the man said so? defensively and it wasn’t a good vibe, like I was in the wrong! Mayonnaise wasn’t on the menu item I ordered and a vegan meal is with NO animal products whatsoever. So I was disappointed that they didn’t even know what they’re doing and trying to make money off vegan food, when they don’t even know what that is. The other staff understood exactly what I meant and explained to him.
They made me a fresh vegan sushi roll which was tasty and I was happy. But it was falling apart when I was picking the pieces up, when the other roll I tried 1 piece of didn’t.
Also when I asked about the sauce they didn’t know and said they think it’s bbq and after a few minutes of the staff talking, they told me it was mayonnaise. Their first guess was wasabi mayo 😅😂.
I’m going to attach the photo of the sushi with mayo on it, it was in the vegan section, I was honestly shocked and disappointed by this. I have a dairy intolerance, if I was allergic their meal could of killed me! Dairy gives me very bad stomach pains and I can’t do anything if I eat dairy/milk due to this. -There was a girl in England that got a hot chocolate from costa coffee and died, she was told it had no milk but they were wrong.
Their smoothie with fruit and coconut milk was lovely though!
I am Greek Cypriot and English and beware vegan travelers that a lot of restaurants in Cyprus don’t understand the term vegan as Greeks over consume animal products and not many realise the health implications of eating meat often. My mum and nan (both Greek) have diabetes from their over consumption of these products and...
