Dream Resort — Hotel in Koh Rong

I was really looking forward to staying in Koh Rong but I was very disappointed, Koh Touch itself was dirty and unappealing, long set beach was so much better, the room was tired and old, locks didn't work on my doors so had to use a bike lock to wrap around the handles to lock it, at first the key kept getting stuck in the lock so some WD40 was needed but I was worried it would get stuck while I was in my room and then not be able to get out. As a solo woman traveller this didn't give me much safety. Air conditioning leaked, the hose on the back of the toilet came loose then water was going all over the bathroom floor and I had to quickly reattach the bolt before it flooded. WiFI would be none existent sometimes so was unable to watch my ipad at night as there was no TV. Electricity would cut out a lot. Decor was worn and tired, didn't meet my expectations at all and I left a day earlier, they did refund me the last night though which was great. Maintenance and refurbishment is definitely needed but for me go to long set...

One of the best places to stay in koh rong island especially in price quality ratio! I tried different hotels in different locations in the island and finally stoped here. I really loved this bungalows with one exception: extremely loud music in the evening and night time from the bar downstairs. It’s really annoying! The bungalows are new, everything works perfectly. Beds are comfortable and location is in front of the sea a little bit upstairs. Restaurant with tasty smoothies, comfy chairs and sea view is so nice and cozy! Staff is very polite and helpful! Thank you! I really recommend to owners to change the situation with loud music in night time. Because I saw how people was scared by it. Couples who mostly book this bungalows don’t want to sleep like at party! Seems like people who stay here want to relax and drink slowly and have a dinner in restaurant, with chill or jazz music not so loud! Because It’s not a party hostel! I stayed at this hotel mainly because it’s on the island, so I expected the higher price 50$ per night. At first glance, the room looked clean, but upon closer look, I found two fresh blood stains, one on the blanket and another on the pillowcase. I requested a change, but no staff ever showed up, which made me question whether they even change the bedding between guests.

There were also occasional water and electricity cut-offs during my stay, which was quite inconvenient. For the price, I expected better hygiene and basic reliability in services....
