I grew up here and spent 80% of my time in the trails. The trails along the creek are absolutely endless with a few excellent swimming holes along the way. The water is usually calm, shallow and completely safe for children & dogs in the summer months. It might not look it, but one could catch a decent size rainbow trout on a good day. All trials lead to the park which has all the amenities a family could be looking for. Washrooms, playgrounds & water. You will notice the large hill that fills up the background which was once the former ski hill. If you’re up to the challenge & want a workout, there are clear visible trails that lead to the top that will lead you to a great view of the town and the valley. The park hosts (in normal times) events that use the beautiful grounds in front of a wood bandshell. Several bridges cross a creek that features a small waterfall and rapids at one end.
