Golden Nordic Ski Club - Dawn Mountain Trails — Attraction in Area A (Kicking Horse/Kinbasket Lake)

Stunning trails both for views and skiing. Beautiful and friendly challet (there's even a tin of waxes for use if the one you have isn't working on that day). Having said that, the conditions are often so consistent there's not much need for monkeying around with different waxes. The trails are well maintained for classic and skating, with a good range from easy to challenging, from short to long and longer loops. It's really difficult to keep skiing and not stop to look at the scenery, especially on the lower trails....

Really enjoyed the trails here, the main greens from the lodge had some nice incline and led to a good workout for me (I'm a beginner) and there were plenty of options off of these main trails that some advanced people on the trails were taking advantage of. I came in mid-January 2021 and even though there were plenty of cars in the parking lot the trails did not seem packed and there was plenty of space to ski and it never felt like people were breathing down your neck.
