Kinnaird Park is conveniently situated across from the North Saskatchewan River with extraordinary views and easy access to the Rat Creek and other walking trails. There are a number of dedicated benches to sit and relax whilst taking in the views or meditating or exercising and breathing in fresh air. Saskatoon and choke cherries in abundance in season. Ideal for dogs too.. Grateful for the city of Edmonton in maintaining this thriving but peaceful spot of nature.

This is an ideal spot to start your river valley journey. The farther east you head the trails become a little trickier until you reach rundle or head over to gold bar. Wrap around instead toward the west and you’ll be delighted by the business the summer trials have to offer gathering inspiration from each person you pass. This park specifically is also great if you’re looking to relax in a lesser known Edmonton park. Extremely accessible and inviting.

A gem IN EDMONTONS RIBBON of GREEN PARK (originally called the Capital City Recreation Park). Surprisingly unique black forest feel. ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL in Ravine park and also leads to stunning views from river trail. I am anxious to check this out in the winter!!

Not especially qualified to give my input, by most standards I should at least be able to provide feedback. To be honest I probably skateboard through, but not enough to comment. Other than in my opinion green space is a beautiful connection in our river valley. Most unfortunate those tasked with the improvement of another of our parks , saw that existing greenspace removed to accommodate their vision. My apologies for sharing this point of view as it is just confusing why . Sorry I'm not earlier in sharing my thoughts , as well I'm fully aware it's already been underway for some time. Today this is but only a grateful friend to nature and all the beautiful wonders provided to all. Fifty year old skateboard enthusiast , taking in a beautiful city River valley. One stride at a time ....

One of my favorite points of the city. Sitting at the East end of Jasper ave, past 82 st, is a serene little park with an excellent view of the city. Despite looking beautiful from afar, up close much of the river valley park system is unfortunately filled with a large amount of litter and often populated by less than savory characters. This park, however, is free of litter, and vagrants don't typically come by here since there's not a lot of convenience stores in this well-to-do part of the small residential neighborhood of Cromdale. It's also far away from the traffic on Jasper main or any other major road, so it's very quiet, perfect for a picnic or meditation. I'll have to come here next year to watch the Canada...

This North side ravine used to be called "Rat" (muskrat) creak and historically ran under Commonwealth Stadium and down 112/111th avenue (Norwood Boulevard) back Kingsway to present day Blatchford.

Though most of the ravine is now covered it's still worth impressive with is deep valley and forested cover. A lovely mixed use path will being you from the top of the ravine down to the North Saskatchewan where you can walk East to Wayne Gretzky drive or West to Dawson...
