Not especially qualified to give my input, by most standards I should at least be able to provide feedback. To be honest I probably skateboard through, but not enough to comment. Other than in my opinion green space is a beautiful connection in our river valley. Most unfortunate those tasked with the improvement of another of our parks , saw that existing greenspace removed to accommodate their vision. My apologies for sharing this point of view as it is just confusing why . Sorry I'm not earlier in sharing my thoughts , as well I'm fully aware it's already been underway for some time. Read moreOne of my favorite points of the city. Sitting at the East end of Jasper ave, past 82 st, is a serene little park with an excellent view of the city. Despite looking beautiful from afar, up close much of the river valley park system is unfortunately filled with a large amount of litter and often populated by less than savory characters. This park, however, is free of litter, and vagrants don't typically come by here since there's not a lot of convenience stores in this well-to-do part of the small residential neighborhood of Cromdale. It's also far away from the traffic on Jasper main or any other major road, so it's very quiet, perfect for a picnic or meditation. I'll have to come here next year to watch the Canada...
Read moreThis North side ravine used to be called "Rat" (muskrat) creak and historically ran under Commonwealth Stadium and down 112/111th avenue (Norwood Boulevard) back Kingsway to present day Blatchford.
Though most of the ravine is now covered it's still worth impressive with is deep valley and forested cover. A lovely mixed use path will being you from the top of the ravine down to the North Saskatchewan where you can walk East to Wayne Gretzky drive or West to Dawson...
