What a wonderful hidden treasure Proctor House is!! My daughter and I visited the house today and we were treated to a fascinating, interesting and informative tour by a gentleman (Robert??) and a young lady who knew all about the history of the house and were very happy to spend time sharing their knowlege with us. They told us so many interesting stories and answered our endless questions with patience and, quite often, with humour. There are so many things to see even going right up the very steep stairs to the belvedere for a gorgeous view of the countryside and as far as Lake Ontario. Oh, and the front doors with the gorgeous ruby coloured glass - stunning! I'm so glad we found and visited this wonderful historical home and even more glad the people of Brighton had the foresight to save this building. Bravo to our tour guides today and to all those who worked so hard to restore this home and keep it alive today. Honestly people, go and visit Proctor House - you...
