I very much enjoy coming here. The Safeway has everything you could possibly want. The store is ALWAYS sparkling clean. Staff are warm and friendly plus extremely helpful. It is my favorite store. Right across the street is Everything Wine 🍷. A veritable cornucopia of wine from around the world. Before covid times they had a tasting bar where you could sample various varietals. They have liquor and for me the craft beer section makes me weep with unrestrained joy. They have wooden coasters handcrafted and made right here in British Columbia. Some paté and chutneys to delight the palate. Italian olive oil 🛢. I kind of horde it. Pour a small amount into a warm pan and you'll be transported to a sunny, Tuscan patio. The oil is called Carobbio from Chiante, Firenze, Italia. The staff are very knowledgeable and approachable. The only complaint I have here are the cashiers. Very cold. I named one Ice Maiden. This past Saturday was the the first time I was served by a Very nice young lady who didn't make me feel like I should consider if was a rare privilege to serve me. I've worked retail for over 25 years.alot of it at a cash register. With very few exceptions I msde sure the client left feeling appreciated. This should not deter you in anyway from shopping here. It is intended as information. If it is in the vicinity try a wood fired pizza from the little food truck. Sorry, the name escapes me at this time. Molto Bene! Garden Works is just up the road for all your gardening needs. If you can't find it here you won't anywhere. Awesomeness is the name I...
Read moreI love shopping at this mall, but often forget about the stores on the east side of Marine Drive Would like to see a little bit of more attention paid to the overall condition of the parking lot
Large solar panel canopies could be installed intermittently throughout the parking lot on high poles and that it could then have that power diverted to storage batteries for electric vehicles or general lighting (to improve the current lighting conditions).
In the summer, the canopies could offer partial shading for vehicles, parked under them due to the lack of trees that would do likewise in terms of shading.
The placement of solar panel canopies, perhaps in line with a couple of small rotating {auger-like style (upwards like blades like a wind spinner) to mimic the existing light pole standards} wind turbines placed in between the canopies or around the outer edge of the entire parking lot, such as over nearer to Marine Way to capture some of that wind energy created by passing vehicles,….. would help to bring this amazing shopping place, right into the 21st-century with a real eco-approach and be a leader within Metro Vancouver for a true green shopping experience! Just a...
