Brutal customer service Went on a Wednesday morning with my 5 year old to watch minecraft. The movie was listed to start at 11am. Went about 1030 to grab popcorn, and get my son situated before the movie. The doors weren't unlocked until 11am. So the movie should have already been started by the time we got in. I understand not having a ton of staff during the day, but we waited in line for nearly 20 mins because the girl behind the counter was scrambling to serve the few people in line. Got our popcorn, treats & drinks and went to the IMAX theater. About a half hour later, the usher came in to say the IMAX was not working and to goto the counter to get a refund, or he let me know that there were 3 more showings of Minecraft before 12 noon if we hurried. We quickly went to the desk, and the lone worker was confused on what to do and called the manager. We stood there for nearly 25 mins before the manager showed up & at that point the other viewings had already started. I asked for a refund. I received the receipt and was told they do not give refunds on consessions which I asked why would anyone waste more money on overpriced snacks, just to not see a movie, more so since it was nearly 30 minutes at that point waiting to try to get into another showing. At this point I was just aggrevated on top of trying to explain to my son why we couldn't see the movie. The manager acknowledged me being upset and printed 2 free tickets. I immediately saw the expiry date on them which was that same day. I left them on the counter and said I would not return. I understand equipment breaks, but given it was the first movie of the day, wouldn't staff do morning equipment tests?...
Read moreCurrent Review: Watched captain America in theatre 8 in Imax and 3d. CANCEL your tickets if it's that screen. There was something wrong with the screen or projection. So blurry and disorienting. At first I thought it was just me but my entire family faced this issue. Absolutely horrible and ruined our experience. I also thought it might be the realD glasses I had before I realized others were having the issue and traded with my brother but still faced the issue and then we all realized we were having trouble and not suffering an eye issue which is what I initially though. I was thinking of booking an eye app when I got home before realizing this. :(
At some parts we had to look away or even take our glasses off. Even when we tried to tolerate it there were these red things and really weird experience for the eyes with the blurry things. It was absolutely the worst during the first hour then it was still bad but we got used to it a little more.
Now that we are home I have a headache and my eyes hurt. I wish I could have a refund as this was unacceptable. I paid to uber to and from here, bought popcorn, drinks and snacks for 4 ppl and wanted an enjoyable experience for my sons bday- instead we had to literally look away from the screen. I don't know if it's the theatre or the movie but very disappointing. We go here regularly so not sure why this happened.

Read moreI went to 6 movies last month and once my seat was completely broken and it was so uncomfortable they should not let you book that seat. Another showing when going to my seat there was a while tray of nachos and cheese everywhere on the floor asked the staff there if I could switch or if it could be cleaned so my shoes dont get all cheesy and coloured and they did not bother. the pop machines are always running so low I get black sludge a few times and almost guaranteed if seeing a late showing. if no machine is working or refilled why are u still selling cups? even when it works it tastes weird and not like other landmarks or cineplex or other places you can get fountain pop. Also I dont believe I earned any points for these transactions despite having my extras card.
I also went to watch a movie and they did not give me my cash back as I used a bill to pay for the uncharge to resize. missed a lot of the movie resolving this since the insisted I had to stand there while they counted the whole cash in the register. I literally told them after waiting so long that they could keep the money as it did not make sense that I was missing the movie. They eventually finished counting and gave me my money back but the movie was ruined as I missed the story for no reason.
I usually have a good time but too many issues lately. I do think the staff is mostly very nice and wonderful here however not always trained for situations such as not giving back change, broken seats etc. Usually the seats are very comfy and...
