I like the idea behind this business. It’s safe but disorganized kind of like visiting an uncles house next to the adult source video store. Seriously it’s right next door. Pros: the venue is clean and offers lockers but with no locks and away from the gaming area. Food and drink are onsite as well. The explanation of the game was okay and wasn’t complicated for kids or adults. The use of a mask for protection was a nice touch too. Cons: The guns jam constantly and you have to stop to get a new gun or get it fixed. The balls and guns feel slimy from other sweaty people and the masks are just as gross. I did watch them wipe the masks though at the end of the games. As I was a guest to a party I couldn’t tell you the costs but hopefully it wasn’t too much as you as the value for actual game time (between jammed nerd guns) wasn’t that long.

Tonight we went and celebrated my sons 15th birthday and the lady working was super sweet. She was so good with the kids and super informative. The kids had an absolute blast. They played capture the flag and seek and destroy. My 9 year old was ready to go for more while all the boy were sweaty and tierd. I even joined the kids in seek and destroy and it was a blast. In between the 2 games we took a ten min cool down to get a drink and catch their breathes. They also play music while the kids run around shoot eachother. Now my daughter wants to celebrate her birthday here too. What a success it was all the kiddos said they enjoyed themselves. We will be back again for sure.

We had my son’s 8th Birthday party at Nerf City. Even though a few things had gone wrong for our party, Brandy was quick to make sure the kids didn’t notice and did the best she and her team could to quickly resolve the issue. As far as the Nerf games - they were amazing and fun! They have staff to help and also participate which is awesome. The kids all loved it from the fog to the lasers! I highly recommend. The only thing I would change is to book the private room as the tables are very close together if there is more than one party going on. Thank you Brandy & Team! :-)

I was there with my daughter for a birthday party, it was extremely disorganized and chaotic.

We didn't get proper explanation for how the guns worked, the smaller kids had a tough time loading and clocking them and needed more help. I found that for the little kids (6 to 8) it was a bit too dark, I keep seeing photos of the play area lit up, would have been waaaay better for our kids had they been able to see! The face masks caused rashes on half the kids. Black and white face masks was all to denote teams, hard to see in the dark - bright glow in the dark pinnys or arm bands or t shirts, anything brighter would be better.

Adding multiple groups and ages not fun! We expected to only play with our group as they are all little and same skill level, this was not the case as drop ins (adults and older kids) were allowed to join our game and it was not fun... Bigger ppl shooting little kids! Come on!? Not fair when these kids couldn't even get their guns shooting.

The guns are single shot, pump action, no semi automatic. Fine if your bigger, not as much fun when you can't pull the slide back, and these guns also jammed quite a bit, most kids did not know how to fix them and finding help was hard as there wasn't much staff, until the parents got in and played "Base mom's" fixing, reloading and helping the kids get the most of their time.

Our party paid extra to ensure the entire battlefield was just the 16 kids in the birthday party for the 2 games, this was only the case for the first game. It was a free for all the second game, including drop in adults and big kids.

The website mentioned matches where teams work to destroy a base instead of shooting each other but it seems this does not exist. The button push thing when you were out didnt really work well, kids were complaining of getting shot while resetting back at base.

AHS Health and safety should probably check out the concession area. There was no separation, kids had access to touch all hot dogs and cooking. The food was left out, the bread in the hotdogs was dry and crusty by the time the kids got the hotdogs. They were out and available to be touched or grabbed by any wandering hands.

I think Nerf City didn't honor what was promised with the charge -namely the game times and having the proper participants in the game. I think they should have refunded the extra $100 paid to have the party private as it was not! For $500 you should get a private room and proper games. (People from other groups kept walking into our party area)

I am big on supporting local small businesses as I have one myself. However, all business also need to be accountable, small, big, local foreign, doesn't matter. I don't feel Nerf City honored their patrons and were not accountable for their failure. A free visit back hardly makes up for a poor party experience that cost a lot of $$.

Good will with a partial refund would go a lot farther to keep customers than offering another free poor experience; it speaks to integrity and accountability.

If you like a free for all kind of nerf battle experience, this is the place.

Beware if your bringing young ones that can read and see signs, it is located right beside a Source Adult Sex Shop... it was a fantastic "what is that mommy? " moment with...

I’m really hoping all in all it was just one of those days - We walked into a what I would say was a bit of a disaster. There were at least 3 birthday parties that were scattered all over- I totally get the little ones were excited and running around but even the adults were blocking the walkway (and there isn’t really much room with the giant picnic tables). We went to pay and the power was disconnected and the lady working had too much on her plate as she was trying to figure out the system, get food ready for a party and organize some of the chaos, and just left us waiting. Another staff came and got the power back onto the till and internet going, and got everyone going on payment and waivers

As other people were coming in for parties the staff ended up sending family and friends to the wrong birthday areas - maybe cause of the chaos all at once but they need a better system of organizing even a white board with the “birthday child’s” name and table (or area) to go to. The food area where they cook hotdogs also needs to be behind a counter as I saw tiny hands all round the area as the hotdogs were cooking and staff no where around that area

The nerf area however was a blast, set up pretty good in the battle area and all kids and some adults all had a blast.

With just a bit of organizing this place would be a 5 star rating from me While the staff were stressed they were all nice and trying hard to get everything done and under control (I mean with the system down, screaming kids and ones who don’t listen to instructions, I understand the stress). This place would definitely be great for private events for both...

Parents Beware*

Nerf City was filthy!! The facemask were not cleaned NOT even ONCE over 3 hours and 6 games. The play area was a huge disappointment!! Not only was it very small but there were no hiding spots available, except for a jeep placed on one side of the room. There's a reason why there aren't many pictures on their website.

The guns they provided were of poor quality. They could only hold six shots, and they kept jamming over and over again. It was also very difficult for kids to load the shots into the chamber. As a result, we spent most of our time switching out guns just to find out they were worse than the last one. They have to be the worst Nerf Guns in the world!

Furthermore, the handling of hot dogs couldn't be more unsanitary. No one washed their hands or wore gloves before touching the buns. When we raised the issue with the staff, they did not care and still expected us to eat them.

I am extremely disappointed in Nerf and will not be returning to Nerf City!! If we're to be invited to another birthday party here, we would have to kindly decline.

I would suggest trying laser tag instead. It's a lot more fun, and the guns are way easier to shoot. Plus Laser Tag has a much bigger play area with plenty of places to hide, and it is 10 times bigger than this place!! Moreover, you can keep score with laser tag, which is not an option provided...
