Again, I have been drawn to the water. Campbellton is one of my healing stops. Today I strolled along the paved walkway east of the big salmon. The walkway went further than I expected. I walked 2+ km before I turned around. Last year I walked the other direction to the trailer parking area. Either direction is beautiful. I am all about trails and beaches while on vacation. This is the beginning of "big water". My soul rejoices at the beginning of it's healing process. The smell, the breeze from the open water...my mind begins to slough off a year of troubles and pain. Read moreThis is home, to me. I grew up in Campbellton and spent a lot of time by the big salmon, as a teenager during the warmer months. The sound of the water fountain is so very relaxing. Great place to bring your family or even go by yourself and unwind. There's even an area set up for children to play safely. Every time I visit my family, a few of us makes sure to get down there to sit at one of the picnic tables, to have a coffee together.
