Seriously not only the BEST Chinese food in town, it’s the best I’ve had. I tried many in Montreal area and Saint John NB and they can’t compare to Chez Kim’s. I always get their shrimp roll and wonton soup as an appetizer. They are served fast. The roll is crispy and the perfect combo of crunch and flavour. Heck even the touch of garnish - lettuce and shredded carrots with vinaigrette is great! The wonton soup is the best I’ve had. I always add soya sauce to my soup, and do so here as well. The broth is so yummy I could drink it in a cup lol. I used to always get a combo Chinese platter and it was fantastic. My friend ordered a chicken hot pot last month when I visited. It looked so good I went about two weeks ago to try it. To say wonderfully good is putting it mildly. It’s EXCELLENT, the bomb and more of those new hip words kids use now to describe FANTASTIC. It’s served on a straight out of the oven cast iron skillet on a wooden platter, it’s still sizzling strongly when served. It comes with a side of rice. It’s kinda like a stir fry. One bite and I was addicted. So badly addicted I had it three times in 10 days. I just keep finding another reason to go back. I’ve heard excellent things about their Thai menu as well. I’ve yet to try it. But I’m sure I won’t be disappointed. Give this restaurant a try,...
Read moreI thought I'd try Chez Kim's given the raving reviews of their spring rolls. Not only did they meet the advertised expectations, they exceeded them handily! When perusing the menu, their Chinese food certainly looked appetising. Instead, I decided to try something different and went for their Vietnamese combo#4 with pho soup, a spring roll and curry chicken. I highly recommend trying some items from their Vietnamese selections to explore something new, you won't be disappointed. The food was flavourful and truly satisfying. It was a departure from bland meats and vegetables with thick/sweet sauces, to an experience that makes your taste buds awaken and crave for more. Give Chez Kim's a try next time you get a hankering for Asian cuisine... extend yourself past the old standby chicken chow mien. Your pallet will...
Read moreGreat food, really liked the Viet beef soup (I think it has lemongrass and/or anise) as well as the spring roll. Spring roll is unique, differing from others I tasted. Has a more high-end feel to it. Service is ok, but they don't fill your water often. Card-wise, only accepted payment options are visa and debit, not mastercard. Washrooms are Vietnamese-decorated and sufficiently clean. Feels like a family business. Cool location in front of town hall. And boy, what a small town, there is nothing to do in Campbellton as a tourist. In summary, come here mainly...
