I've known about Castlegar my entire adult life but always passed through. However this time since I have a school aged child, decided to drive into town and take a look around. We came upon this museum and at first stopped to look at the railway, caboose and original jailhouse before committing to going inside. Wow! What a collection of historical artifacts and Livia, the museum guide, provided me a great overview of the local history. I left with more questions than answers and more wonderment than I started with. A great appreciation for history and how far we have come and anticipation for more road to journey. Thank you...
