Grand River Raceway — Attraction in Centre Wellington

No fun anymore. Machines are interesting but you don't even win to keep you playing. It use to be so much fun years ago, but since going paper your money is gone within half hour to 1 hour depending how much you bring with you.. You wait for a bonus and get garbage after waiting for so long to get one. Unless you bet high you don't benefit. And if you bet high your not there long. The old days at least you could be there for a few hours and have lots of fun even if you went home empty handed. Now you waste time depending on where you drive from on gas to get there and time to get there only ti to be done within an hour or less. So to go out and have fun there anymore its not. I dont Put any money in anymore, I sit and watch who I bring spend theirs and go home in disbelief watching people plunk hundreds of $$ in and leave dissatisfied. So well done casino owners . Great night out with friends enjoying dinner and small bets on the 10 horse races. Reservations are strongly recommend, the buffet restaurant was sold out but we booked last week. On ocasion reservations are canceled at the last minute leaving a very few late goers with an operrunity to join the entertainment. When booking clearly state any requirements to avoide stairs, there are tables at the buffet and elevator level. The staff are very friendly and helpfull especially with the betting process. There are electronic betting stations with desks and chairs.

The casino is on the main floor with a small gift store. The ATM is on main floor. Lots of free parking.

There was a minor disappointed when ALL the white wine ran out in the 4th race of 10 with the exception of a resling which is NOT our prefered beverage.

It's definitely a new experience. First I applaud management and staff they have done a great job to keep everyone safe. It seems like line payouts are lower than before the pandemic. Perhaps they can't incurr the costs of shutdown and all they have implemented to meet Covid restrictions without some changes. It's still fun on the machines. Jackpot payout limits have increased I assume because they are trying to eliminate contact with people. Nothing to do with the casino but the atmosphere has really changed. I really enjoyed talking to people laughing and joking around. Hope we can get back to that some day. Also miss the restaurant and the new bar old menu. Covid has definitely had an impact on everything we do. Normality will come back if we get vaccined and support businesses even if the experience is different. Overall I still had...
